Sean, looks like you have about six months before your trip, best thing you can do is use the search function (top right corner) as this topic has been covered extensively over the years. Spend time reading the threads and enjoy the build up!

There are lots of things in the forum to help first timers. Spend some time reading here and you will learn a bunch. As far as nerves go, for us(Not in the lifestyle). The nerves got worse as the trip got closer. For me, I was the most nervous driving from the airport to the resort. Once you get to the resort and see the first naked people, there is a little shock and adjustment. It took us about 2-3 hours at the pool before the nerves slowed down and we got naked. It took us about a day to feel comfortable to talk to someone when we were naked. I am sure that times will vary by person.

No doubt there will be a Yahoo Group set up for December travelers -- join it and get acquainted in advance of your trip. Nothing better to ease the jitters than to be greeted by name as you walk in the doors! All the nekkidness becomes "no big deal" very quickly once you settle in around the pool and see that everyone there is "normal" -- just having fun and enjoying life, tho in a manner that pushes the envelope a bit.

You don't realize it yet, but the biggest concern you should have right now is determining how the heck you're going to budget in the future trip(s). Of course, that's not necessarily a bad thing, because planning the next trip can be almost as fun as the trip itself.

Life is Good!

We've never been to either (we are booked for RM in September), curious to hear more details.

I felt the same- In the car from the airport I kept thinking what the hell did I get us into!!???!! Once we got into the room I walked out on the patio naked while my wife put on her bikini (mind you she swore she would be wearing a one piece the entire trip!) About 15 minutes later we walked over the the jacuzzi, I stripped down and she dropped her top ! The next day she was nude up on the bar at the Pearl pool competing in the human sundae contest.

Pearl has an amazing power..... :D

Quite a different reaction from most. Care to elaborate?

We returned a week ago or so.
We had an amazing time and miss it already.
It was our first time clothing optional , not in the lifestyle, etc etc. Complete newbies.
We were on the forum for about 6 months prior, must have read every single posts lol.
Excited and nervous at the same time.

Once we got there, every thing fell in place quickly for us.
We decided we're going to rip the bandaid style.

Day one, after the welcoming champagne and lunch, feeling weird eating lunch and watching dangling sausages walking by, :?
Then we headed to the beach, took every thing off and went in the ocean. Felt great. It did take me a while to get out my wife was playing with my little one as a tease. Has to wait for him to settle down.

Then we went to the hot tub late afternoon.
Lots of gropping around us. A guy asked my wife if her nipples were real (!), before she could say boo, he was fingering them and promptly latched his lips on them (!!). She was so shocked no words came out of her mouth and just blushed.

Anyway x long story short, we got used to the nudity within 24h, and used to seeing the public sex within 48h. Since we are both in the medical field, nudity quickly became rather clinical. By the end of the trip we used the sin room several times, the hot tub bed a couple of times and had oral in the hot tub toward the end of the trip when a group of 7-8 couples were going at it.

Overall, i would not worry about nudity or PDS. It was the most liberating feeling in the world being there, surrounded by non judgmental people of all size and shape in various states of undress.

Enjoy. We will be back.
