NEW Update - Pool back in operation

The pool is basically half the resort during the daytime!
The voucher offer is ridiculous.
I am glad we did not book during this time frame.
The resort should offer 50% discount for this major inconvenience.

We're heading down from the 3-9 oct, so the majority of the vacation will be without a pool. We're sure we'll still have a good time, but I agree the voucher offer is ludicrous.

How about you base the voucher on the number of days your stay is affected by the renovation, rather than the duration of the stay?

We booked six nights, we'll be pool-less for 5 days, and get one free night? Thanks Desire Management, you really out did yourself.

Just got a message from friends at the resort:

"Pool work started the second the pool was closed for the evening on Sunday.
They have a huge tent over it and are working around the clock. Bending over
backwards to make everyone happy on the beach"

Looks like everything is on schedule.

Is this part of the mentioned "heating" of the pool? Planning a trip mid-January. What should we expect temperature-wise?

The pool was filled Thursday overnight. Friday the temp was fine.
