We heard that Arcos and his wife are expecting a baby soon and of course we are very excited for them. Can someone please update this post with recent news? We'd like to know when they have the baby and if it's a boy or girl as we'd like to take them a little something in January.

The baby is not due until the end of the year. They do not know if it is a boy or girl yet. We talked to Arcos about it when we were down there two weeks ago. He said Sylvia has had some problems on and off through the pregnancy and was on bed rest that week. He is concerned but at the same time very optimistic about a positive outcome.
We took a couple of baby outfits with us and Arcos said Sylvia was really excited about the gift when he brought it home. I think he said this would be their second child.

we just returned and talked to Arcos about the baby. Silvia came home from the hospital and is doing well, they are expecting a successful birth in a few weeks. I don't remember the number (it may be 3) but he said all his children were teen/pre-teen and that the youngest wasn't too happy about the new baby. He said the pregnancy was something they hadn't planned, but they were very happy about! He seemed really excited!!!

fANTASTIC ! When we left there a couple weeks ago he didn't sound nearly so positive. They are both such nice people- it's great to hear it's going to turn out well !

Great news from Mia:
Silva and Arcos has welcomed they new family member on October 5th.
Is a healthy little girl and they are very happy.
They would like to thank you all for your prayers, good wisher and happy thoughts.
Arcos will spend a few days with his new princess and will be back at work next week.

Thank you Mike and Mia for the update. Of course we are very excited for him and his family.......we'll see him in a few months.
