Newbie looking for the best Travel Agency to book with.

Hello everyone.

We are anxiously trying to book our trip for August and have no clue what agency to book with. After reading tons of reviews, most everyone is saying to book with an experienced agency that has booked with Desire previously to get special deals and/or add ons? Can someone please help, as we would like to book asap before the room we want is gone. Thank you!

FYI - The only "special deals and/or add ons" that you may get by booking thru a TA is "free" transfers if you book a minimum number of night(usually 5 or more are required). When I say "free", most TA transfers are in a shared van(ie multiple other passengers on the same van going multiple other resorts).

There were a couple posts I read that stated the agency they booked through surprised them with a private event at desire. But they never mentioned who it was.

We booked our first (upcoming) trip through a link here on the forum after I contacted a few agents and priced identical trips. The agents were equal to or higher than booking directly. The deal offered by DRM for our month of travel includes free airport transfers. I'd prefer to book via a forum link and help support the forum since it's been an invaluable resource while planning our first trip. I booked our flights directly with the airline since I used airline points.

We booked through Orbitz one time and the combined airfare and hotel was cheaper than doing it separate. But I have not seen any special deals other than if you book direct.

I have bee keeping an eye and honestly, I have found the best deals on jetblue directly and cheapcaribbean which include airfare. We are traveling on September and have seen the prices going up and down.
