Pool question

Postby rblowery » Mon Oct 12, 2009 8:29 pm

I know the pool is not heated. For a mid-January visit, is it a comfortable temperature? Looks like it gets a lot of direct sun. My wife likes "warm".

The pool is now heated with solar panels on top of the passion suite building. We haven't been at desire in the winter since this change to tell you how effective it is. But we do know that before- the pool was anything but comfortable in January. The days are too short that time of year to heat the pool sufficiently just from direct sunlight.

We were there in March and they where still heating the pool. We had to get them to turn it off and add cold water. We had a few hot days and no one wanted to go into the pool, because it was to hot. Heater does work well.

Just saw on Denny's site that he's received an e-mail from Mia @ Desire, and they are now using a gas heater for the pool......

If they now have a gas heater for the pool, the way is now open for the refurbishment of the jacuzzi.
Some time soon during the colder weather, they can heat the pool up to jacuzzi temperature, declare "jacuzzi deck rules" for the pool area for a few days, then shut the jacuzzi and reline it.

Now THAT sounds interesting! Moving from the restaurants directly to the jacuzzi/pool. Hope there are lifeguards!
