Pool Temp

Postby desire512 » Tue Jan 12, 2010 9:53 am

We so agree Mike. We have been to Desire over a dozen times and each time on the comment card you recieve for checkout we have written in huge letters HEAT THE POOL !. We are there the last week of Feb and 1st week of March every year and they were installing the heater at that time last year. So here we are almost a year later and the still don't have it down correctly. We have friend who love Desire but will no longer go during the winter months because the water is so cool. If anyone finds out the name of who to write to please post. Thanks

Good luck with that guys...really! We talked to the top people themselves who assured us they were working on our recommendations. Last February we had dinner with Patricia (the owner of Original resorts, Desire's parent company) and Mario (General Manager) They asked us about what improvements we'd like to see. We said HEAT THE DAMN POOL! lol and fix the jacuzzi tiles as our 2 main things. Mario wrote them down and they stated they had heard the same thing from many guests. Patricia said those should be no problem to fix.....Well, here we are a year later...same problems. We were just given lip service....oh well.

Here is a note from Jorge- the new guest services guy- in response to an e-mail from a Desire guest inquiring about the pool temp today:

The temperature of the pool is now at 30 ° C (86 F) approximately. We had a problem with the heater and it is being replaced by a new one. We expect the temperature rise over the next week by placing this larger heater. The pool is completely enjoyable for our guests.

Best Regards

Gracias.

We had a live report on the January Yahoo group today:

" I'm happy to report live from Desire that the pool heat is on and working great,
we were in it about an hour ago and it's very comfortable and perfect for
relaxing in. It's way warmer than the ocean. We were talking to some people
who have been here almost a week and they say it has warmed up significantly in
last day or two. Looks like everyone's emails worked. "
