Hello. Me and my wife are planning a trip to riviera maya hopefully sometime at the end of May. We are both in our mid 30’s and have never been to a nude beach or resort. We do love to swim and lay out nude here at home in our own swimming pool and it got us to talking about going to a place where others like to to do the same. We are always up for trying something different. A lot of my questions have been answered by reading through the forum but I still have a couple to ask

1. How deep is the pool? And how fast do the lounge chairs fill up? We would rather be in the sun so probably wouldn’t care about getting a bed
2. I have read that the beach is not very clean with sea weed? And a couple of post where some say to bring bug spray if going out on the beach. Are the bugs really a problem? Thanks

We wish we would have found Desire when we were in our 30’s, book a trip, you’ll love it. The pool is about 4 foot deep, and the pool chairs do reserve quick in the mornings so we set an alarm at 8am to reserve chairs every morning. As far as the bugs are concerned, we’ve never even noticed them really. We usually go in late April and late October so those times of the year aren’t bad, not 100% sure about any of the other months.

Thanks. Just booked our room for 3 nights. This is actually our first trip outside the US. We can’t wait to get there

Congrats on the upcoming trip. I predict that you will find three nights too short. Finances and scheduling are always a concern, and any time is better than none. For us it took at least two full days to get rested and start to get in a routine. If we had to leave on day three, we would have been devastated. Either way, you’ll have a blast, but you might reconsider whether you might add another night or two.

Thanks...Honestly I hope when we leave we feel the exact same way. That way we can save up more funds to stay longer next year :D

Congrats. Besides getting your passports lined up, read up on how to navigate the Cancun airport and transportation to/from Desire. You don't want to be unprepared in this phase of the trip.

Sorry, but we agree with the comment about 3 days not being enough. You'll only have 1 full day.
Day 1 -- Unless you have a "red eye" you'll prob arrive at the resort no earlier than noon and will have gotten up at 2am -4am and crash early.
Pack your carry-on so you have a few things (incl swimsuits if you're ready to do the naked thing from the get go) and change in the Spa.
Day 2 -- Full day (yeah!)
Day 3 -- Likely have to leave for airport about noon. (The latest flight we can get home departs at 5:30p, so we must leave the resort at 3:00, and miss most of the fun activities).

If you can fly in the night before and book a $100 hotel near the airport so as to arrive at Desire EARLY on Day 1, do so.
If you can fly out the following morning (Day 4) then again, book a $100 hotel near the airport so as to be able to enjoy the full evening's fun at Desire on Day 3.

Carpe diem!

We also agree and good explanation laid out. Just sharing that if finances or time away from work or little ones is a concern. Go for it. Do it. You will have an amazing 48, 72 hours of positivity. a

I agree. We hope to arrive on the 23rd around noon or possibly a little before but who knows what will happen when you fly commericial. Our flight leaves from florida so it won't be too long. We will still have all day the 24th and 25th to hopefully have a great time. I really do hope our experience is much like what i have been reading from others on this forum. If it is we will definitely have to stay an extra day or two if we decide to go back

You could always extend mid trip, we did that in October, the extra day was well worth it.
