Can anyone who has been to RM recently comment about the condition of the beach? We went to Pearl last year and the sea weed made the beach inaccessible. :US

We were there last week. Most days the beach was fine, a couple of days they had seaweed. They told us that it is getting better with less volume and less frequency. I hope that trend continues.

Cheers,
Tim and Andrea

We were at Pearl Feb 3-8 and the sargassum was back, hanging around the edge of the beach line and piling up. There was plenty of beach area for walks.

We were at RM for 12 nights from mid-January until the end of the month. The water and beach were clearer than any of our visits to RM or Pearl in 2018. That doesn't mean everything was gone, but overall there was less seaweed in the water and less on the beach. As a results, more people were in the water.

We saw zero seaweed from Jan 26th to Feb 1st. Not a single strand. The beach was incredible.

Feb 7-11. It was terrible. Had to walk by the beds just to have a path down the beach. Red flag on all days too

We were there last week, beach was pretty clear from seaweed. We heard they are also putting a barrier around the water line similar to Breathless next door to minimize the problem in the future.

We were there last weekend and the beach was in great shape, very little seaweed and the water was as pretty as we have seen it in the past 4 years.

We were there last week, May 19th-25th. The barrier is a tremendous help. The first few days the beach and water were crystal clear. Unfortunately in the middle of the week high winds and high seas in the middle of the night caused a small break at the northern end of the barrier. Leo the beach activities manager fixed it as soon as he saw it, the staff stepped up, and they kept it manageable. By the time we left on Saturday it was almost back to perfection.
