Hello... love this forum - very helpful as we try to plan a getaway from the "real world" for a bit.

We are looking towards an August trip to RM. Wondering on group takeovers that might be happening at this time. We have been to resorts in the past when groups takeover and it can make it somewhat unenjoyable for those who are not traveling with them. We are fun (44/42), LS experienced (but not our main reason for going) and very easy going - just want to make sure we are not run out of space by a large group.

Has anyone had "bad" experiences with groups or takeovers in the past at RM? Anything to be concerned about? I know all situations are different - but sometimes it only takes one bad apple in a group to make it miserable for others.

FYI - August is officially Sexy, Young and Wild month at both Desire properties - there are no groups or takeovers scheduled for Desire Riviera May during this coming August

I heard horror stories about going during takeovers when you aren’t part of the group. Luckily we went in August last year and there were none. Looks like August is a good month to go!
