Early this morning they started draining the hot tub and there's been a crew working on retiling it all day. There was no advance notice in fact most people didn't realize until they wanted to go up for the late afternoon soak. The people with rooms in the upper level below the tub were moved to different rooms. The word is it should be completed and refilled by sometime tomorrow but I'm thinking it's a whole lot bigger job than that.

That's too funny. We just got home yesterday and that was the one thing we kept saying to ourselves; this hot tub is in dire need of refinishing. And yes, we agree, it most certainly looks to be more than a one day job.

OH NO!!! We are flying in on Jan 21. It's been a year since we have been back and the hot tub is our favorite! Sonofa $&%$$#!!!!!

I understand your concern but this is actually GREAT news for everyone. That hottub has been discussed sooo much about its need for repair, so it is awesome that instead of just talking about it, they are actually dealing with it!!!

I do feel for the people who are caught unaware, but I think you will be very surprised at how quickly they will get it done. The will usually work 24/7 until complete .

Burnt-Enz.....Don't be too concerned cause you may get to be one of the first ones to "Break in" the new digs ! lol

On our last trip we collected a few that'd fallen out and were swirling around loose in the bottom - think we have 3 of 'em - and yes, looking at them reminds us of wonderful times in the hot tub!

Now we cant wait to get back!! Going to try for a takeover week next time... oh a newly surfaced hot tub, how wonderful! See you all there!

Ok, OK. It does need to be resurfaced. As you can imagine we were a little disapointed. It's now about 2:00 AM on the 21st and we are headed for the airport. I hope the beds around the hot tub are not off limits........... Love to watch Orion while she gently massages....... Ooops, time to go, I'll finish that story when We get back . Or maybe I'll finish that story on the palapa, or the hot tub, or those wonderful swinging beds around the lobby.
