Ninth trip and our 10 year Anniversary at Desire. Here goes:

The crowd is getting younger and its not just us getting older, lol. 10 years ago it was 80% boomers, closer to 40% now. A lot more 30-40 year olds then before.We were surprised by the number of swim suits on, mainly, younger people. I don't know if its a generational thing. 10 years ago they were rare.

Place was about 90-95% full. Most of the time it felt like the good old days, although we miss the Canadians. For the buffets they plate about 95% of the food. It's a little slower but more hygienic and less food waste. Some complained about the time it took. First world problems. The staff did very well but they seemed understaffed. It looked like a male management type cleaned our room one day.

They have quit judging costumes. For lingerie night they announced each participant by first name, location and favorite sexual position. The ladies walked through the lobby area and up on the platforms. Lot's of fun, one woman's favorite position was shopping. A good change in my opinion, the way they used do it seemed to drag on. Every night they had really good entertainment some bands, DJs and performers at the lobby bar. We also danced more in the disco then we have for several years. The music was great most nights.

I saw a comment about booze, it doesn't really matter to me so I can't comment. I like what they have. The Covid test two days before leaving was handled well. The tip jar in the testing room was a nice touch.

We are at the upper age ranged of attendees and kind thought we might stay in the background. It turns out we still have some game and well you know got in the game.Didn't go to the playroom but made good use of the hot tub and the roof top beds. There were some late night epic performances and interesting invites.

Funny swimsuit story. We were talking to a couple in the hot tub and they moved on. A little while later I went to the bathroom and she was blowing him. He had pushed his suit down the minimum for access. Another trip to the can and she was riding him. She still had her suit on and pushed her bottom over to provide access. Maybe it's me but, "its sex" get naked lol.

They are pushing memberships pretty hard. Supposedly want to expand to the empty space next door. Build more villas, some rooms, new pool/hot tub and move the restaurants. Build a "mansion" where the current pool is. Who knows, have heard versions of this in the past.

Had a good time. Saw old friends and made new ones. Things change but that's not a bad thing. Since we didn't feel to old, will be back.

Great report. We are where you are age wise and are going June 3 for 8 days. This will be our 7th time there. Good to be young again.Thanks!

Thanks for the report. We arrive on 1 June for 9 nights. We've noticed the changes in the past view years; e.g. younger crowd, more swimsuits, much tamer, etc. We've been going to Desire annually since '07 and it's, let's say, much quieter than years ago...

Well Dang. Three years ago I noticed the younger the guest the more swimsuits. Don’t get it?? They were of all seemed to be swingers. Do they think a swim suit is sexier than naked?

We have noticed this over the years as well. More of the younger crowd (which is perfectly fine with us, they are very fun), but more suits. But they do all still seem to be swingers. So you will let me have sex with your spouse (or significant other) but you don't want to be naked by the pool? Not judging at all, to each their own and their comfort level, it is just something I have noticed that I am having a hard time wrapping my head around. lol

I do think younger women are going to feel less pressure to conform to spec, generational difference. It's prob actually a good thing from that standpoint. People feel freer to be themselves but it naturally results in a little less following the crowd. Actually, when we are there a few times a year, the vast majority of the women are at least topless and have heard multiple women say they prefer to keep bottoms on bc they feel its more hygenic. Our experience has been dudes staying clothed the whole time, usually in those long-ass board shorts. My wife says she thinks to herself, "What are you contributing here?" LOL That part feels like it's just, like, a different crowd. One year when Temptation was closed, it was REALLY like that -- lots of swimsuits, younger/different crowd -- bc a lot of the normal Temptation people were coming to Desire. It feels like that crowd. Maybe DRM is marketing to that crowd in a crossover kind of way. Or maybe they all watch too much porn and think they have tiny wieners.

Our experience has been dudes staying clothed the whole time, usually in those long-ass board shorts.

I recall retreating to the room with a younger couple where the guy was always wearing those long-ass board shorts around the pool/beach. It quickly became obvious why he was keeping it all covered.
