We just got back from our first time at desire rm. We did not feel any of the OP statement. Must have been a bad group. We had a blast talked to everyone and everything was respectful.

Probably our 18th trip or so this last week to DRM and absolutely agree. There was no undo pressure from anyone. We do LS, but are selective.
It was a fabulous week, the resort is really excellent right now, the food was steller, entertainment great, and in every other way.

If we had any complaints they were minor. Our mattress was shot, they replaced it for us. The room was a tiny box--zero decor, first time ever in such a small room at Desire, but we only slept there.
Can't wait for our next trip!

We visited DRM for 10 days starting on labor day, very different vibe. It was pretty sedate. On only three occasions did another couple approach us. However, once we approached other couples they were very friendly with us. Not sure why most folks were reluctant to approach us. We don't bite, at least not too often.

We went in August and if I remember correctly it was "young and wild" month or some such title where they allow public sex etc. I think that month they cater to people in the lifestyle. Maybe there were more than usual? In any case, it's not cool that you experienced that. We are in the lifestyle, but of course would never pressure anybody. In fact, we made good friends with a couple there who aren't in the lifestyle and continue to be in touch with them despite the fact that we will never have sex with them. Hopefully your experience was just a fluke. We were there the week after you (8/25) and found everyone to be low pressure (we said no to a few couples) and super friendly.
