True Reconnection, June 10-15

Made our first trip to Desire june 10-15-wow what a trip. We were part of the c4p group which made things nice and lively. The effect of this place can be explained this way-we have been married 38 years and I doubt we have ever been closer than we were at Desire. We talked about things we have not for years, and exhausted ourselves the rest of the time. The idea of spending all day naked in a swinging beach bed leads itself to that type of relationship booster. In a few words-if you are thinking about going forget about all the fears and go.
FOOD-probably not quite gourmet but very good. The breakfasts are very good, the dinners in the white restaurant very classy with a nice menu with lots of seafood. The best meals were at lunch after we found out the wonderful Africa would bring lunch to you at your beach bed thereby making it unnecessary to put anything on all day.
PDA-yes, there were a lot-and lots of fun to do. You are not going there to see what you see at home, and you won't. I guess if couples and more enjoying everything imaginable bothers you, stay away from the hot tub, the playroom and the disco, or go and enjoy yourselves. Noone cares what you are doing anyway, so stretch any limits you have.
BEACH BEDS-got up at 7 or before, reserved a swinging bed each day, never had a problem. Since we never had more than a few hours of sleep,getting a bed to lie in all day seemed the perfect solution. Never tried the pool chairs, heard some grumbling about it.
ENTERTAINMENT-the bands, fire dancer, and contests were great-but the most entertaining was watching the fellow guests. Most guys did not dress up, many women did, and it was fun to participate. If we ever go again, we will both bring more to dress up with.
MISC-we were among the oldest, did not feel out of place at all. This place really does live up to the advance billing-all the complaints are pretty minor compared to the fun you and your partner can have. We were far from prudes going in, nudity and pds did not bother us, but we found lots of new situations to enjoy all over the place. In about a month we may be recovered-go and have fun-Desire is built for it and worth all the money
