We hadn't been to DRM since Feb 2023 so this was our time with The Eden completed. This is probably our 7th trip.

The good: The Eden area is very beautiful and classy. The spa, the reception, the pool, outdoor bar and dining, the new hot tub, etc...all gorgeous. The pool staff works their butts off as always.

Lots of sexy people there actually of all ages. Very friendly people from all over the world. The level of nudity anywhere seemed about the same to me.

The slightly bummer:

Butlers were disorganized but also, they were trying hard to get organized and apologized for the mix-ups (like no restaurant reservations even when we had clearly made them.)

The playmakers are way more low-key. I miss the super sexy and hilarious playmakers like Javi, Felix, AnnaBanana etc... who were always flirting, engaging in ridiculous games and generally keeping the sexy party vibe up at all times. Even Kevin seemed low key and man, he used to make every lady feel so sexy with his moves! :)

Almost all the guests are now hanging out at the Eden all in one place. The other side of the resort is way too quiet. I missed winding on the paths to all the different events or areas in such a green lush space. And the beach has mostly been washed away, although not entirely and seaweed was not cleared away. So low turn out for beach volleyball and other things going on in the old space. Not a lot of bartenders or waiters in the old section either.

The playroom is not as good. Separate beds only . We preferred the more open design of the last one.

Food is fine as always. We are not there for the food personally. But the poolside dinner events didn't happen and we loved those.

Nightly entertainment was the same loud bands playing the same wedding song hits. UGH. I never want to hear Brick House by Cherry as long as I live....but it's stuff like that. I would rather have a DJ pumping out the Latin pop. One night there were dancers/performers who were great.

Finally, I still thing DRM is a special place and they are working out the kinks. The resort will continue to evolve I am sure and I anticipate there will be new fun stuff and maybe even a foam party at the old pool from time to time. They seem to be working towards integrating the old and new.

And for the visitors who are not LS, maybe that might make your trip more fun if you dipped your toe in that pool lol! We did end up in an huge orgy in the Villas so for us, that makes the trip fantastic and we have NO complaints! You can't get that at a vanilla resort (mostly lol). We are still fans of DRM. Happy traveling!

Will miss the old playroom. We are not the kind of people to arrange things in advanced so basically that means no contacts for us anymore :(

Agree on all counts about the playroom. It's not conducive for play. Many times it's one bed per couple on those beds- if you get there 'late', you stand around waiting- not fun for those on the beds, nor for those waiting. Being able to find a tiny space and getting to it was half the fun. Wish they'd combine the beds on one side and keep maybe 3 beds separate for those that like that.

And agree too on the quiet side- so much potential there- not everyone has to congregate at the new pool- it's way hotter (less vegetation to hide the sun) and the pool is too large to bump into others. Bring back the full bar at the quiet pool, keep the quiet music but make the space a tad more welcoming.

I agree the playmakers have toned down the really raunchy activities. Maybe have a few spicer activities at the quiet pool and keep the tamer stuff in the big pool.
