It took us about 4 hours of arriving at Desire when we realized we made the biggest mistake of our lives…

We ONLY BOOKED FIVE NIGHTS!!!!

Please forgive us. We‘ve never done anything like this before and we weren’t sure when push came to shove if we were up for it. WE WERE!!

We had such butterflies on the car ride to the resort. Thank god for that glass of champagne. Don’t think we heard anything the person at the desk was saying to us because we were so overwhelmed that we were actually here. We had so many questions. How long would it take us to bare it all? (as you will see it took 4 hours) Is this for us?(Oh yeah it was) Would we know someone here? (Actually ended up meeting someone I worked with, haha. But it was fine. Can it get any funnier than that.) Is everyone in the lifestyle (since we were not)? (It did not matter because everyone was there for fun). Did we pack the right stuff? (Basically, we were nude the entire day, at dinner men wore slacks and button down shirts and the woman wore whatever. Many wore mesh or see through tops and yes, we did overpack....rookies)

It was a heck of an initiation. We arrived on Wednesday night and were literally at Desires for four hours before we were in the Disco with cloaks and masks for the eyes wide shut. We went right up for the ceremony and were naked in front of the whole resort. Didn’t know we had it in us but there was no turning back now. Hell we even worked up enough nerve to make it to the playroom that night. Which by the way is great! It is so erotic to have sex in front of others and to have others watching you.

We ended up meeting a very nice couple that talked us through how everything worked at the resort. It helped a lot. Rookies we recommend connecting with someone that has been there several times before at the start of the trip. Things seem to progress at different parts of the resort at different times. We quickly ended up getting into a daily routine. Wake up at 10,have sex, eat breakfast, go to the pool and drink, lunch, sex, nap, Jacuzzi, dinner, playroom (sex), back to the Jacuzzi, pizza, sex, repeat the next day. Can you see why we love it here?

One of the big concerns we had before going were the ground rules for ourselves. It turned out to be funny for several reasons. One, that we thought we had rules set up but they kind of morphed as we moved through the week. And two, there are so many possibilities that you can find yourselves in a situation where your “ground rulesâ€

Thanks guys for a great trip report for first timers...and it sounds like this was the first time of many trips! We totally get you on the "not enough days" thing! Our trip was for an overnight in the middle of our original trip booked in a timeshare in Cancun. As neither of us had been anywhere like it and had only dabbled in the lifestyle many years back we (mostly the female) wasn't sure how it would go! Well...long story short, we woke up the next day and realized that we could NOT go back to our other resort and continued to book each night and we only went back to the original hotel to pack our belongings and make the plane home, ha ha!! Gotta love it!

Just out of curiosity, you mention that you two are not in the lifestyle but you said you had "ground rules". Why did you feel you needed rules if you don't play?

You know I can't help but wonder if desire has a room rate for a longer stay. Say like long service leave, at half pay = 6Months. ok that's enough wondering, I need another small trip to dersire before I do something I won't walk away from.

Sorry we did not get back to answer your question sooner "2good4better". Life caught up with us and we have been very busy. See we aren't adjusting well to being back.

To answer your question, we were really there to explore the FF scenario. We weren't sure how comfortable we would be if it got a little more involved. Sure enough on the second night we kind of found ourselves in a spot before we knew what was going on.

By the way...what are light swingers anyway? We are not sure about the lingo. Maybe that's what we are.

We were like you mohs91, as we had only participated in FF play previous to our trip. But there's something about Desire that inspires you to reset/move your initial ground rules.

My interpretation, (not sure if it's correct), light swingers=soft swap=oral/heavy petting.
