For those of you who are on your way…Desire will not disappoint! This was our 3rd trip to Desire Cancun. We have never been to Cabo. We arrived in Cancun on October 3rd, a Sunday. This was actually so much better than last time arriving on Saturday, which was much busier. We were through customs pretty quickly! We rented a car from Hertz. They were very convenient, very professional, not too pushy
and right in the terminal. We needed a car because we made reservations to stay in Tulum for 3 days before we headed to Desire. The reason being is that we find it very hard to leave Desire once we get there and this worked very well for us!Tulum is an adorable little town and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. There is a great little in town hotel with only 10 rooms. The rooms start at $ 40 US per night and the hosts are great!
Now…on to Desire!
Our check in at Desire went smoothly, as usual, and our room was ready and it was only 2 p.m. We accepted our flutes of champagne gratefully and soon we were on our way to our room within 10 minutes or less. Our room was 1811, and we pretty much knew what to expect because we had 1812 last year. We did ask for block 1900, 1400 or 1800 and were happy that we received one of our requests! The room was exactly as expected. And, just a quick note, we have never experienced any musty smell or the need for any freshener.
We think the outside restaurant / grill near the pool hours have been extended from previous. Not totally sure, but it worked for us. We absolutely loved being able to have an array of choices almost all day. We love the chips and quac and thought their choices were great! And, a couple days we missed breakfast and were able to head right over to the grill and satisfy our hunger!
The wait service at the pool, just like last year, was awesome! We love Silvia and she is a gem! Then entertainment at the pool was lively and creative! The entertainment crew is a riot and quite sexy…just remember to wait for the weeeesal to blow before you serve the volley ball and whatever you do, do NOT forget the password, lol!!!
The new disco is very nice and as usual there is much fun to be had. A little hint, there is a couch in the back right corner near the bar underneath a flat screen TV. that works very well for body shots!
A little to our dismay, we didn’t use the playroom as much as we should have! That is not to say that we didn’t have plenty of sex and fun times, but it just didn’t happen that much in the playroom as with the last visits! Go figure…
We ate once in Suki, the Japanese restaurant and enjoyed our meal. It was our first evening meal and the company and couples that we met were so much fun! However, we ate mostly in the white restaurant and really loved our dining experiences with and without friends!
We both agree that the best part about Desire every time is the people we meet! We just loved hanging with all of you, you know who you are, C & L, A & P, J & T, S & D, S & M (by the way S & M, we have pics to send you so if you are reading this, email us @ landedesire@yahoo.com) ï
