I had to "sell" my wife on taking this trip, and many of the reviews from here (and TripAdvisor) helped me to do so. One major difference between how I handled it, and the "recommended" way (to discuss boundaries with your spouse): My wife is somewhat conservative, but will usually "go with the flow". We had been to a few nude beaches, and a nudist resort or two. Each time, she lost all inhibition and fit right in immediately. This time, when she was reading reviews and saw "swingers" she was very hesitant to agree to this trip. We had a timeshare week that we had to use, so I steered the locations toward Cancun. Then I started with just a 2 day stay at Desire, in case she wasn't comfortable, and the rest at the timeshare. Since I read a lot about the ability of Desire's atmosphere to have positive effects on reluctant spouses, I just let the conversation drop once we were booked. (Of course over the next few months I did secretly add 2 more nights
)Only putting that out there since not all spouses react the same, and the more I would have pushed to discuss this trip, the more resistance I would have encountered. So I opted to take my chances.
Our room was 2303, GV, end of the resort near gym and tennis court. Very quiet, and still just a short walk to everything. King bed, very nice and clean (plus the wife noticed the restraints on the bedposts, and insisted on giving them a try.)
No issues whatsoever with showers, doors, bugs or in-room safe. All worked beautifully. We didn't pack much, so not that much space was needed. About the 2 channels of porn on the TV: my wife has seen about 20 minutes of porn in her lifetime (and it has been recent). It was quite a surprise to me that we (ok, she) left it on pretty much the entire time we were in the room. It certainly helped to "set a mood". Also helped that not much was in English on TV, and Wifi was only in the lobby. At first I thought it was inconvenient, but I hope they never do in-room Wifi now...too easy to get wrapped up in work or other things, and miss out on quality time with your partner and all the other things to do at Desire.Food varied from good to excellent, but we are low maintenance. Suki was excellent, and don't forget to order the "sushi desire"...best sushi I have had. il Piacere was very good also. Buffet had some excellent things nightly, and others that were just good. "Make your own omelets" in the mornings were always really good. Lunches were very good also.
We didn't drink much, but the beers were cold, and the "blender" drinks were pretty good also. Fridge stocked daily with Coke/Diet Coke, water, and beer.
Service everywhere was excellent! Very friendly/helpful staff. We did tip, but only after services rendered, and service seems the same regardless of whether or not you tip.
Now to the good stuff: After about a day and a half, my wife managed to forget about work, kids schedules, etc, and really enjoy herself. She scheduled a mandatory appointment each day around 1 at the jacuzzi beds. Each day the show/activities got better, regardless of who was around (bartender, pool guy, other couples, etc). Although the other couples always seemed to end up on the beds right next to us for some reason.
Easily the best sex we've ever had!Our third full day, I did schedule a massage with Claudia. Very erotic, exciting, and also a really good massage. I only wish I did not have the blindfold over my eyes! Especially when I realized that my wife was still completely naked when helping Claudia massage me.
Our final evening, we finally made it to the jacuzzi for Happy Hour. Within about 20 minutes, we were both naked, sitting at the bar, and watching the activity in the jacuzzi. There were a few couples taking turns at oral with each other's spouses, which was a bit of an eye-opener for my wife. This, of course, led us to go back to the beds, and more great sex, except within view of a much larger audience. Can't believe it took me that long to get her up there!
Our last afternoon (after checkout) we went for our "appointment". It was then she told me that she had intended to try to recruit another girl to assist in giving me oral. Unfortunately, she didn't feel she knew anyone well enough to ask them for help.
I was told that it will just have to happen next trip. Just the fact that one of my fantasies is now "on the table" has me smiling to this day!Not surprisingly, we are already booked for Nov 9-15, 2011.
