Live Trip Report April 2 - April 7

We just arrived at Desire and are sitting at the lobby bar waiting for our room. I'll try to post updates like last year.

In the mean time I can try to answer any questions anyone has.

The last couple of days have been much more laid back than the hectic "arrival" day. After packing, rushing to the airport, multiple flight delays, and multiple other things from the real world, we were able to ease into Desire mode of sleeping late, and not worrying about stuff.

This morning's routine consisted of grabbing a beach bed and laying in the breeze. Temperatures were warm with only scattered cloud cover. There appeared to be little more beach than in the past. Maybe the steps that were taken to halt beach erosion are working.

We tried the Japanese restaurant today even though the selection hasn't been the best on previous trips. The sushi was good as were the spring rolls. After tonight we'll partake of Suki more often in the future.

The buffet restaurant was a little disappointing. It might be our imagination but it seemed darker than in past years. The food was decent but the choices were a little limiting.

We didn't spend too much time at the pool so we can't comment on the entertainment.

New additions to the resort include some palapa beds right behind the lobby bar and the covered lounge area is now enclosed with glass.
