Just thought to post seeing we are presently at the resort and have a moment. We are down here for some R and R as well as setting up events, details, etc for our October 15th Week43 Group this year.This trip so far has been great, with lots of great people here. The weather pretty much every day has been around 88, mostly sunny, with a constant 10-15mph wind, and I do mean constant. Only had one late afternoon shower so far, and at that it only lasted about 40 min.

Since our last trip we have noticed some changes to the resort which are very nice. Every time we come back we find the resort is always working at improving. Most of the changes have been in the area of landscaping. However, they have added a few other features. The first, as you exit the lobby, and to the right, there is a seating area with a thatched roof. This area is now fully enclosed with decorative glass walls on the front and back, and utilizes sliding doors. The side walls are of solid concrete, with veneer stone on the inside part of the wall. They also added a few AC units to keep the area cool when needed. I would say by the hanging RG6 cable at one end, an LCD TV may be added soon. I am thinking this will be a great place to go on those….not so sunny days to chat with others as it now has lots of seats and tables. Speaking of LCD’s there are a few 42â€

Hello

Just a quick update, forget what I said about the new network being down. The `WiFi Desire`network is back up and running as of an hour ago. Getting speeds now of 2 Mbps on the down stream, 0.9 Mbps on the up. Those speeds are from inside our room as well.

Yet another windy start to the day here. Staff are out working hard cleaning up the beach etc for the guests today. Crew working on the new thatch roof over the Water Sports area, next to pool bar. Looks like the Albotros's crew is reading boat for an afternoon sail. Mostly overcast this morning, with winds about 15 mph and gusting. Still an nice day out though. For those of you heading down here over the next few days,......ladies may want to bring extra hair spray All in all though the winds do help one feel cooler during the warm afternoons. However, the down side is when in the Hottub, it almost feels a tad to cool.

Congrats to Manuel as he has now been promoted to night time manager for the resort. Some of you may know who he is as he has worked for the resort for some time now.

Well, not too much to add today. Yesterday's weather although started off looking like rain in the AM, cleared up nicely in the afternoon. Today is a pretty much a picture perfect day. Nothing but blue sky to the horizon at the moment and a light wind making the 88 temp feel cooler. Much less wind today then the last 5 days.

Over the last few days the beach has taken a bit of a hit from the winds. Today though, it does look a bit better. The staff has been working hard cleaning up the dark sea grass that has washed up. May be a few more days though till it is spotless, sort of speak. The Volleyball area though needs some sand to cover some rocks that were left exposed. Again I am sure that will be taken care of as well.
