Diane and I just returned from a brief visit, trip # 14; here are some observations.

-The beach is REALLY improving!
-The lunch area has been completely rebuilt overhead, couldn't be any larger without overhanging the pool.
-Only saw the newly glassed in palapa in use once - they had the fight on TV on Saturday night and the door was unlocked
-Serious rumours that the de la Pena family is purchasing Cieba del Mar.
-We arrived on Mexico's independence day (unbeknownst to us) and a major party - 100% occupancy. (all hands on deck with regards to staff)
-Occupancy went down after the weekend and they immediately began refurbishing rooms and buildings.
-Same fabulous service (43 waiting in room ) as always.
-Going to be hard to wait till February to get back.

The lunch area really is great isn't it !
We heard the same rumors about Ceiba when we were there a couple weeks ago- doesn't seem to be a big secret among the folks there.
I'm sure there will be more info forthcoming over the next few weeks/months.

Only 53 days till we get there again. Will be nice to check out the changes. Damn it, it will just be great to be there. Cieba may be nice for a change, hopefully without sacrificing any of the Desire touches.

Thanks or the update TANNAKED! We're just beginning to plan for the 2012 Lifestyle Lounge takeover-I think the attendees will be excited to get these updates about Desire. They're always improving, aren't they?
