Final Trip Report...

We have been home now for just over 2 weeks. We landed to minus 38 degrees C... thats F&&**n cold in American. Not much snow.. but brr.. the last few days have been above 0, thats 32 and above american...We have thawed out a little...enough to give you all the final report.
It was a blast. The best ever... in spite of JC's little trouble with the nasty girl. JC had to throw out an outfit and a leather purse from that ordeal but she will live ha ha.
The weather of course was pretty good. Its Mexico. Our first week, the 19th to the 26th was spent in the deep south of Mexico, quite a bit warmer down there than the Cancun area, so our first couple days we found it coolish. The staff reminded us, that it is winter and things get colder, we found that as funny as the down filled coats, gloves and toques in Chetumal..we were roasting down there.
We did not get to see as much of CC as we would have liked, she is working at the Beach Bar now with Afrika. Rick got some great photos of JC and Afrika on the beach the first day there. JC forgot her new sandals down at the beach. It was 2 or 3 days later when she finally went to the lobby to ask if they were found and presto, there they were. The date the time the location of the find all documented. What a pleasant surprise that was. We are happy to know that if we leave anything laying around someone will take care of it. You would be surprised to see what all they have at lost & found.
Silvina and Sophie of course are gracious hostess'.. they sped us through the usual check in and of course Arco was there to haul our bags up to our room. He is such a great hardworking man. He even had a little surprise for us this time. Tip that man. Tip that man generously.
Edgar is now at the lobby bar... he is, as always a great guy to talk with. He is funny and articulate in both languages.
Aaron has been promoted to captain, he is another great, great man who works very hard for our comfort and enjoyment. Tip that man generously as well.
JuanCarlo, is relatively new. He is so funny. We had a great time with Aaron and JuanCarlo on New Years. Memo as well.. my gosh! They all had a great time with us.
On Dec 30th, the entire staff, and then some were building the stage and setting up the whole event for the big New Years Show... we all had such a great time getting dressed up, having dinner, meeting new people.. doing naughty things... JC had a sexy red dress on, Cindy gave her some devil horns for her hair, the photos are hilarious... everyone was..kinda drunk.. lol.. our dinners were fabulous, they really worked hard on preparation and presentation. 10 out of 10. We all gathered up at the hot tub for a party.. chocolate body painting and licking... what fun! Those photos are pretty great too... lol...
After dinner we all dressed for the big event... the men, except for Jan, thats (Yan) not Jan....lol.. he dressed as the bunny and Cindy dressed as Hef...great spin... A bunch of us sat together and enjoyed the New Years show, we were all seated by the pool, it was decorated so well... the show was great..until...it started to rain..just a little...then a little more..then a little more.. then.. we all scrambled...it only lasted about 15 minutes..but everything was soaked....drenched, so we.. the bad party people.. went for a wee one.. while it rained... the girls took photos.. got a little too silly....it was fun. The rest of the show was up at the disco. The dancers, and the rest of us....our waiters joined in the fun, and we all drank champagne and grapes and toasted the new year....then it was naughty hot tub time.... the girls got wild and the men watched.
Our bucket list is getting longer. ha ha.
We met some great, wonderful people. Jack and Mo..we hope to meet up with you again and spend some more time.. Jack, you should have joined us..next time something is in the air.....come on up! Cindy and Jan, you guys can sure rip it up! Chuck and Kathy...they seem to be there when we are...sure hope to see you guys again! JC will be emailing you soon.
Yari and Pedro... Yari was JC's sweetie. You know they will keep in touch.
Only a few times we left the hotel for an outing... pollo asado mostly. You just cant get that at the hotel. Next time.. we are going to ask Aaron for some straight up pollo asado. We bet they will do it.
There is nothing like some good street chicken.
We are happy to see that some ideas were taken to clean up the pond. The croc is happy the fish are happy and our noses are happiest.

There sure were alot of passers-by... this time... alot.
young boys walking past, then past again, then again... the security let them go 3 times before shuffling them away.. lots of couple traffic from the hotel down the way.... they have to walk a long long way to see the boobies... but they sure are doing it.
There were mosquitos. They dont normally bother us, but Rick had his nightly mosquito kill, just like at home in August. We both swear that the bites incurred by some, are from the beach, they are teeny weeny, we brought a magnifying glass to see them...they come in with our beach towels and such, we put them on the bed, and they wait....they wait until we are drunk, and asleep....then they get us....We use rubbing alcohol and peroxide. It cools the skin, and kills the bugs... the sting goes away and there is little or no itch or mark. We dont spend much time down at the beach. This time, the water was way too cold for JC's delicates...ha ha.. she will go in the water in April. After the first 2 days... there were no more bug issues.. with the alcohol. That is true rubbing alcohol people.. tequila wont cut it....lol.
Of course we bought some more weeks. We love it there. Next time we will try to book the yacht. That sounds like great fun!
Aside from the rain that kinda wrecked the New Years, well it sure did for the staff, they worked so hard.... and the nasty girl's bathroom habits, the Desire trip was a huge success. Everyone had a great time, everyone. There will no doubt be some additions, we are sure that we forgot something... We had a terrific time. The best Christmas and New Years ever. We cant wait to get back in the spring and do it all over again!

We did have a blast... and believe us.. if JC could have taken a photo of that nasty girl... she would have..ha ha...God help that poor woman if JC ever runs into her again...lol..
