First a little background on us…him (36) her (37). Married for 15 years with 2 kids. We found Desire by searching Google for an adults only resort, all inclusive. We love kids, but we wanted a vacation without any, including ours or anyone else’s. We found Desire first then stumbled onto this forum. I thought our relationship was a 10/10 before desire, but after Desire it’s a 20/10. And only those that have been there know what I’m talking about. This forum and our experiences at Desire have made our relationship so much stronger!
First we are (okay were) newbies prior to our trip. We stayed at Desire RM from April 27- May3. This was our first experience at a c/o resort let alone a LS resort. We “were” not in the LS prior to going to RM, but we’d have to say now though that we have embraced the LS and couldn’t be happier!
Thanks to the advice of this forum, we joined a Yahoo group. We like the yahoo group, because it forced people to provide a picture and put in a bio which I think forced out the gawkers. Excellent job to the Hosts of the April Yahoo group!! (And it was great to meet you both, hope to see you again!) After joining the Yahoo group we began talking with a few couples. Through them they answered A LOT of questions and helped put our minds at ease. Plus when we finally arrived we already had people who we considered friends.
So we anxiously awaited our trip counting down the days and rechecking the forum every day for the latest! But at last the day had arrived. Again thanks to the forum, we had pre-booked USA Transfers. They were awesome. They gave clear directions of what to do after arriving and were right where they said they would be. It was nice walking out of the airport and seeing the signs. The guys there then “protected” us from the others trying to earn your business. They escorted us over to the van area away from the crowds. There they loaded our luggage into a 10 passenger van, it was pretty funny being there was only two of us, but it was nice. Our driver was very nice and we had a nice conversation to the resort.
Upon arriving at the resort we were greeted and checked in which went really smooth. As we were sitting there we saw a few people walking around completely naked. I thought to myself, here we go! We then set our appointment for a few days later and we were off. As we walked out of the lobby we were quickly greeted by our Yahoo group friends who quickly put our minds at ease knowing we had someone that would show us around. We told them we would drop off our luggage and be right back.
We walked to our room which was located on the second floor facing the ocean. The roof covering hang over a little obstructing the view a little, but overall you couldn’t beat it! The room was nice, lots of storage space and clean. Would have been nice to have a king size bed, but not a deal breaker. As we saw our luggage on the floor, we were excited to get things going and decided to unpack later. We looked at each other and asked if we wanted to dip our toes in the water or just dive (or cannon ball as we said) right in. What the heck, you only live once and we were here and wanted to experience everything. So she quickly undressed and only put on a black sheer cover up (yes you could see everything). I forgetting to buy a cover up
put on some board shorts and we walked down to the bar to meet our friends. Again we had been in contact with our new friends for several months, so when they said grab and drink and lets go to the Jacuzzi, we said “why not?!” As we walked up the stairs I recalled all the stories in the forum of what we were about to see. What we saw was a lot of naked people having fun, drinking and socializing. As I recall there was one or two couples on the beds enjoying themselves. As we walked up to the bar, we were given a shot of tequila (which did ease the nerves a little). However we were also given the advice of not drinking too much on the first day, so we took it slow. After the shot I dropped my shorts and she her cover up and we dove into the Jacuzzi (not literally). WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FEELING! Being naked is the way to go! As one poster said, when you’re naked, everyone sees you right away, there is no undressing you with their eyes. It’s all out there and they get to know who you are as person. We met some really great people, many we kept talking with all week! We also started to dabble in the LS but we won’t “kiss and tell”. Let’s just say that we have no regrets and only incredible memories.
Okay after the Jacuzzi we had dinner at Suki. It was delicious. We ate at either Suki or Salho every night. Someone we met there had a great point, were on vacation, why go to the buffet when you can be served. However I did hear from many that the buffet was excellent! Maybe next time. But overall we felt the food was excellent.
We spent the following 7 days laying by the pool, laying on the beach beds and participating in the games. Again like I said earlier, we wanted to experience everything, so we did the activities including the night time ones. And yes she rode the mechanical ……. For western night. It was an experience. The evenings were spent in the disco dancing. We felt the music was good, some night better than others, but we love to dance and pretty much shut the place down every night. We even ventured into the playroom once or twice (okay twice). If you go early there is usually no one in there, the swing is a must try!!
After the disco it was off to the Jacuzzi where things really heated up! If you’ve read about it in other posts, it happened there. Body shots, threesomes, foursomes, oral, you name it. I do want to say that we never felt like we were being watched. What I mean was there were no creepy gawkers. We did realize it was quite a turn on knowing that others were watching!
After Jacuzzi it was time for pizza at the lobby bar. And at 0300, 0400 and even 0530 (that day was rough) the pizza gets better as the morning gets later!
We would sleep in and start the day over again. Having breakfast at the buffet ( they will make egg white omelets or anything else you would like). I thought the breakfast was good! Then off to the pool or beach bed. Then off to lunch and I highly recommend the chicken fajitas!! Excellent! And the guacamole!!
As for drinks, they don’t skimp. Unlike a bar in the “real world” where you spend $10 for watered down alcohol, I felt they didn’t skimp and the selection was good. Also I don’t do cheap tequila well (bad high school memories) , so when I asked for some higher end stuff, they pulled it out. You just have to ask.
What else can I tell you…
…tipping, we tipped everyone. After reading some of the posts I was worried that everyone would stand there with their hand out waiting for a tip. Really I felt as though they were surprised when I tipped. As another poster put, I too work hard for my money, but I felt the service was excellent and we felt they deserved the tips. Whether it was $1 or $40, they appreciated it!
…theme nights. We both dressed up. Not everyone did, but I can tell you that the ones that did appeared to be having the most fun. Plus I think both the men and women enjoyed the costumes. We definitely did!
…foam night was a blast! There is nowhere else in the world (okay maybe Pearl) where you can do that. Just get naked and enjoy the bubbles!!
…One day we took a walk down the beach and walked by several family style resorts and quickly remembered why we chose Desire.
…We did the photo shoot. Jonaton was our photographer. He did an amazing job! What an experience. It was like 3 hours of foreplay!! The pictures were incredible!
…Get to know your bartenders, waitresses, staff. Its nice when you walk up for a drink and they know what you want and know your name. I think its incredible that with the constant change in people, they can still remember a newbie’s name.
…MEET PEOPLE!!! We met so many GREAT people who we hope to keep in contact with. People that weren’t in the LS and people that were. You quickly realize that everyone there is “normal” just like us. We saw all ages from a couple younger than us to a guy with a cane. Our thought was “GOOD FOR YOU!!” We hope at his age were still visiting Desire and enjoying ourselves! Way to go!!
