Posted: Wed Jul 02, 2014 9:34 pmOkay...we're back to tell the story as promised.I must warn you...I'm not a journalist. Entertainment staff has changed for sure. Vanessa is (sadly) gone. There are 2 new girls and 2 guys. Forgive that I don't remember all their names. Jay is a guy from Puerto rico. We spoke with him one afternoon for a while, seems like a nice enough guy. Coral (I believe) is Romanian, and the other girl Mexican. In 4 days I never heard either girl actually speak. A smile, head nod, yes, just no conversations or public speaking.
The daily activities rarely started before 1:30 or later. The entertainment staff seemed to "give up" easily. The pool area was fairly well attended, but not much happened aside from an occasional game of volleyball or water polo. We never saw the water aerobics or stretching/backrubs (which was always a fun way to meet people).
Evening activities were similar in quality. Overall, we must remember they are ALL new! Hopefully they just need some experience under their belts and they'll figure it out. Let's try and stay positive!
Sidenote: bartenders were great as always! Ace,Edmundo come to mind. Went WAY out of their way to bring you your fav drink, and the grounds workers were constantly trimming, pruning, painting as they always do.
