I hit the jack pot yesterday. I stuck my hand in my old swimming trunks. (Yes, even at Sandy Hook I need to rear a bathing suit.) and found $12.00.

So Ron, I think I have a total of $15.00 in the Vagas bank.

Michael just slow down for a minute. Nicole placed some loonies and tunies in the bank. You should be way past the $25.00 marker by the end of this week. A hundred or so bucks a week in coin for all of Aug Sept, Oct, December, Jan '09,Feb, March, April. $400 a month in the Mr. Piggy plus your sweetie can up the hours 8 months $400. per month should be close to the number.

May 8-16, 2009 Hot Tamales & Ynots/WWW trip

If you look at the Desire resort room availability calender you will see that this week already shows as sold out. Thats because between the two groups
we have 105 rooms reserved-and thats basically everything ! The two groups are going to coordinate some activities and provide ways for all the members to get to know each other before the trip.
Its going to be a great- high energy week. For all of you Hot Tamales and
Ynots who haven't made your reservation with your group sponsor yet- don't wait to long cause the rooms aren't going to last. And for the rest of you out there who might be considering Desire next May here is your chance to see Desire at its best with a fun loving crowd.

Post a request here or send me an e-mail and I'll send you the contact info
for the 2 agencies who have the rooms reserved and are handling the bookings.

Mike

Hi all YNOTS!!

Well we ar on vacation right now up at the cottage...it's raining a lot or we wouldn't be online!! LOL

We love the fact that Wayne has put this together. We certainly used the advice of our friends when we were newbies, and the Desire forum was the place for that. Thanks Wayne!

New Mike hows the funds?? We really really hope you guys can make it again next year. Don't you get overtime Mike?? LOL

Hey is anyone arriving earlier than the 8th or staying longer than the 16th?? We are thinking about adding a few days.

Oh yah is anyone taking another trip down this year??

Anyways Michelle and I really are trying not to think about Desire too much or it will "never" come. But we do miss you all and can't wait till next May

Take Care
J&M

Well because of Mothers Day on the previous weekend, we won't be arriving till Monday the 11th and returning hopefully on the 20th. There is a bit of an overlap at least to see everyone!!

Can't wait!!

We are flying out on Sunday instead of Saturday, but that could change. Is it better to get their on a Saturday or Sunday?

Probably does not matter?

Joe & Michelle- we are there the 9th to the 18th.
By the way- Northwest out of Detroit is offering some pretty hot early booking fares for your dates since you are avoiding Saturday travel.
Looks like you could go for $358.00 each plus $100 in taxes/fees. The trip down would be direct and arrives very early. The return trip would have a stop over. Northwest is fairly healthy and chances are decent they won't have many schedule changes before then.

Garrett- The airport is easier to navigate on Sunday- much less busy, but then saturday at the resort is usually a pretty big party day with everyone arriving and being so excited they get out of control- then crash early ! lol

Mike

thanks

Thanks for the info Mike. Again, just like last year, I am trying to figure out...wait for the discount airlines,(Spirit, USA3000), to put up prices or book with someone else. Comparing the price that NW is to Spirit last year is still just over $200.00 more. That's part of the extra days Michelle wants!! LOL!!!

I dunno, I think I'll hold still, but keep my eye out.

There's a guy at work who still works for Air Canada on the side that can get friends a deal on flight/accomodations with them. In fact he had Jamaica 4 star resort all inclusive flight included for 500.00 for the both of us in Sept. I'm just not sure if he has deals on flight only or if it's packages only. And to top it off it would be out of Toronto instead of driving 4-5 hours to Detroit for the cheap one's

Anyway I'm blabbing on....

Joe- obviously that Air Canada deal would be great for you !
But if that doesn't come thru its going to be really tough to get a deal as good as last year. A couple things to consider: you are talking about coming in on Monday and returning on Wednesday I believe.
With Spirit- if they have flights on those days at all- they won't be direct- they will have a connection in Fort Lauderdale. They only go direct to Cancun
on Saturday that time of year. And out of Detroit USA 3000 to Cancun is usually only Saturday's too.

Mike,

That was my concern about not getting there on Saturday...

Best price/time of arrival I found is from Frontier (Out of Denver), non-stop, two arrival time choices...

2:22pm or 3:31pm

$458 round trip per person

American and Delta stop in Dallas....I've always had good luck with Frontier.
Saturday or Sunday, Saturday or Sunday.....lol

Hell, as long as we get there!!

Is there a count down counter on this site yet?

9 months to go!!!! Sounds better than the 12 months I started at!

Geez, whats it going to be like after we have experienced our first trip?
