So we decided to try RM just for something different. It was amazing!!!
Resort grounds. The grounds are beautiful. It is so nice that it is so compact and everything is so close. The grounds are very similar to Pearl. Either place was great. Pearl might be a tiny bit nicer but even that is debatable.
Food: Both the breakfast and lunch were fine, above average for any resort. At night we ate at Shalo or Suki each night. Both were fabulous and the service was great. Each night we ended up joining other couples and had a lot of fun. We are not big on buffets, we like ordering food and having a few drinks,etc. and both were great. We heard from others that the buffet was very good. Again, the food and service was very comparable to Pearl. We also enjoyed the late night pizza at RM. They make it right there and it was great.
Age: Were read a lot on here that the average age at RM was slightly lower at RM then Pearl. In our weeks at each we didn't find this to be the case. In the time we were there the average age at Pearl was a bit lower. Either way it doesn't matter. We always ended up meeting up with couples our age, it seems you always find each other. We also hung out with couples of all ages. Our neighbors were in their 60's and were wonderful. She was one of the hottest ladies at the resort all week. She was beautiful and my husband was smitten with her all week. (I hope they read this). Regardless of age people that go to these places are awesome!!!
The good stuff: In our real life because of work, kids and all that stuff it is hard to let our hair down. We left our "normal life" early that morning and that night I was up on the bar of the hot tub with three other girls, we had a bottle of Bailey's and were pouring it all over each other and licking it off......everywhere. I remember thinking, "if my friends could see me now!!"
The freedom, sexual energy, atmosphere......there is nothing like it. We had the same experience at both Pearl and RM. It all depends on your own attitude. You can find whatever you want, live out any fantasy you want. You just have to be willing to put yourself out there.
We liked the fact that the disco went later at RM then it did at Pearl. At Pearl we found out cleared out very quick but at RM things stayed going for a few hours. We didn't try the sin room at Pearl but at RM it was very hot. We saw lots of different....humm...stuff going on!! It was really hot!!
The hot tub at Pearl is quite a bit bigger but as they say, bigger isn't necessarily better. When you are in a hot tub with a bunch of naked people with sex on their brain how can you not have fun? Either place you can have just as much fun.
There is equally people in the lifestyle, not in the lifestyle or somewhere on the spectrum in between. When we first went to Pearl we were not in the lifestyle or never experienced anything like this. We pushed our boundries and left much more open minded. After spending a week at RM we definitely shifted on the spectrum. As someone told us and it applies to us, we might not be swingers but we have been swung upon.
We went with the attitude we would have fun and just do what felt right in the moment. It was like living in a fantasy world for a week.We did the photo shoot and it was one of the best things we did all week. I would highly recommend.
The staff at bot places are awesome and very professional. They really know how to treat their guests. One night at the hot tub there was a single guy there being a bit creepy. Another girl raised her voice at him and 5 seconds later 2 security guys popped out of nowhere and quietly escorted him out. The whole thing lasted 15 seconds and most people didn't even know anything had happened.
If you are trying to decide between Pearl or RM I don't think my review will help you a lot but the important thing is just go!! I would love to answer any questions about either but it is something everyone should experience. Both places are like an adult paradise. When we were there the party lasted a bit longer in the night at RM, but you could always find something at Pearl as well, people went to the hot tub a lot earlier and probably left a bit earlier. But like I said, if you wanted to stay up to 3am (which we did every night) you won't be alone.
We are already planning a trip back although we haven't decided which one yet. You won't go wrong either way.
