Trip Report from Jan 26-Feb 1st, 2016(Last week of ISM)

Better late than never, I figured I would provide a trip report for our trip on January 26-Feb 1st the last week of international swingers month. (Sorry this is such a long report, but we really liked looking at trip reports so I thought we would pass it on) First about us. We both 51 years old have been married for 25 years. We are not in the best of shape a little rounder that what we would like so for those of you that think you have to be a model, that is not the case. This was our third trip to Desire(in 5 years) and while we are adventurous we are not in the lifestyle. Overall we had a blast, although 6 days was a bit long for us, I think 4 nights would be perfect.

We had no problems getting through customs. Once you clear customs, we had to run the gauntlet of sales people to get out of the airport. A couple aggressive salesmen jumped in front of us, but a quick spin move and we made it to the vans. For those of you new to Cancun, I cannot emphasize enough how aggressive these people are, and your best best is to just be rude and ignore them until you get outside. We booked our transfer on USA though this forum. The van was brand new, the drivers were friendly, and there was no one else in the van for the ride to Desire and the ride back to the airport. No awkwardness of riding in a full van with families as you pull up to Desire. I would definitely recommend this to everyone that is traveling to Desire.
The ride to the resort was short, yet that tends to be where nerves and excitement start for us. Once you go through the security gate off the main highway, you know you are getting close. We were happy to see that the road to the resort is now paved. It had been a while since we had been and the last time it was gravel and full of potholes.

Once we arrived, the service was great, we checked in and received the complimentary champagne. We then moved to the desk where they tell you about the resort and push you into the membership pitch. We have avoided this in the past, but we thought we wanted to go to Pearl and get the erotic massage so we signed up for the pitch. Our room was ready and we were escorted to the room. We stayed in room 2402 a garden view room. I have posted pictures of the room in the property map page http://desiremexico.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=92&start=15 . Hopefully others will do the same so you can get an idea of what each room looks like. This was the first time we had a garden room, and after this trip, I see no reason why we would ever get an ocean view room again. We hardly stay in the room and it is basically the same room. We unpacked and were happy to find lots of draw, shelf and closet space. (Could have used more hangers).

Once you get there, it is hard to not get into a standard routine, breakfast, Pool, Volleyball, pool, lunch, pool, poolside games, volleyball, hot tub, rest, dinner, show, disco, Pizza. I am an early riser, so the first thing I would do in the morning was get up and reserve a bed by the pool. We did not have any problem, but by 11 or 12 all the beds and chairs by the pool were spoken for.

The food was really good. We are fairly plain jane eaters, and found lots of things to eat. We did the hibachi grill for the first time in our three visits, and liked it so much we went a second time. Lunches were great, and the chef that works the grill is always accommodating. You come up with an idea, and he will make it for you. Grilled chicken with the green hot sauce(Really hot!) is awesome! That is a very tough and hot job and he does a great job (we made sure to tip him).

For us, the first part of the trip we did not really meet many friendly people. It seemed like some very hardcore swingers that really did not want to waste time talking to people not in the lifestyle. As it got closer to the weekend, more people arrived and we met some really great people (An awesome couple from Missouri and some from Tennessee). All were in the lifestyle, and were cool with the fact that we weren’t. We had a blast getting to know these people and had fun partying with them and hearing stories of how they started in the lifestyle and some wild stories about being in the lifestyle. They won’t really know how much we appreciate them educating us. Surprisingly when we got back home my wife said if she had a chance to do it over again, she would have like to kiss/make out with one of the girls. (Something she never has been interested in before)

Lots has been said about the music. As a fan of country music, you really don’t get much of that on their regular playlist. However, I went in and gave the poolside DJ a list of country songs (Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffett, Toby Keith) and he was happy to play them. We had a few couples come up and say they were happy to hear the music and it we had a blast with them the rest of our trip.

One thing that did bother us and many other people we talked to was one couple that insisted on having sex in the middle of the pool during the day. I know that the rules are lax during ISM, but this couple was a bit overboard. It was okay that they had sex on one of the beds by the pool, but they liked to get in the pool multiple times a day and go at it pretty hard. I am not sure if he finished in her or not, but it really did not make you want to swim in the pool. I wish that someone would have said something to them.

As I said, we decided to sit through the pitch so we could go to Pearl for the day(Which we never did) and get a discount on the couple’s erotic massage. They insisted to eat breakfast with us, then pulled us into another room and really did a hard core pitch on us. We explained that we own a vacation home and rarely go to other resorts. They really did not have an answer as to why we should do it, and then they started telling us we should sell our vacation home to buy into their membership. They really wouldn’t let us leave. I just started sitting there in silence, while it was awkward they finally let us go. The whole process took about an hour and a half. I would NEVER go through this again.

My wife is very conservative, so I was really surprised when she suggested the photo shoot. That turned out really great, and something that I would highly recommend. We started out in the disco, then the playroom and ended out on the beach. I was shocked that my conservative wife was open to having sex on camera. Some of the photos were fantastic we did spend quite a bit of money, but well worth it.

The other surprising thing on this trip was that my wife was interested in the erotic massage. We have done Claudia’s massage in the past, but said she was willing to try it the resort version. We really enjoyed the first part sitting in the hot tub, drinking champagne. The hot tub was not too hot, it was very comfortable. We were then taken to a room with two massage tables. We started on our stomachs and they lightly massaged our backs, then we were asked to roll over and they massaged your front including your genitals. My wife had a towel put over her face, but luckily mine was not covered up. I really was enjoying watching my wife get massaged and I could see that she was getting turned on. They massaged us for a while and her masseuse was between her legs and rubbing very fast. I was then asked to stand up and was taken over to my wife and we started to f**k while they continued to rub our bodies. (Similar to what I have read on the forum). After we were done, they left and my wife told me that the masseuse completely missed her clit and almost rubbed a raw spot on her thigh. I was really disappointed that this was going to be her first experience like this and it turned out to be a dud. (No we don’t remember the masseuse’s name).

As I said we were there for the last part of international swingers month, and with that they offered workshops in the afternoon. Miss Lola was there during our visit and she was awesome. The first workshop we attend was and introduction to S&M, the second was oral sex on men, and the third was oral sex on women. All the classes were packed, we learned the most in the S&M class, but all the classes ended with 20 couples going at all over the disco. It was a very awesome site to see and hear. There were certainly opportunities to swap or join in with other couples if you wanted. It was great that Lola walked around and would give hints, talk dirty, or lend a hand. For others probably not a big deal, but for newbies like us it was quite a turn on. The only negative was that these workshops happened at 4:30 so it was basically the same time as the prime hot tub time. We also attended the massage class, there were only two other couples for that class, and it was not nearly as good as the workshops. It may have been better if the room was full. I think that these types of workshops would be awesome if they could figure out a way to do them more than just during ISM.

Finally, our trip back home was definitely interesting. We didn’t check any bags, and our suitcase had a couple of sex toys and a really nice leather flogger. We had just purchased it and were just starting to play with it, and my wife really liked it. As the bag when through the X-ray our luggage was flagged and they pulled the bag and started pulling things out right in front of everyone going through the security line. First they pulled out a rabbit vibrator and held it up and then pulled out the flogger. They then told us that we could not take the flogger on the plane and took it to the trash to throw it out. Then another security guard tapped the lady on the shoulder and took it and put it in a bin. I initially though my wife would be really embarrassed about the whole thing, but she got very mad that they did not throw it out and wanted to keep it for themselves. She started to get loud, but I quickly reminded her that we were in a foreign country and it may not be the best place to make a scene or a point. To this day she is still mad that they took out toy. I actually think the whole thing is funny.

This report is long enough. As always the Entertainment staff was great, the bar and poolside service was wonderful. We had a blast acting like kids dancing in the disco and people watching. We never made it to the playroom on this trip. This time we took big silver Yeti cups for the drinks, I would definitely say that is a best practice. You get large drinks and they stay cool until you are finished. If you are reading this thinking about going, and you are just a little bit adventurous, I would say go for it. When we come back we are always closer as a couple, and have a dirty little secret that nobody else knows. It is always fun to be out with friends and to hear something or see something that makes you both think about the trip and look at each other and smile. We did the massage, we did not go to Pearl. Sorry if that was confusing. When we decided to do the pitch those were the two things(Massage and go to Pearl) that we were planning on doing. We only did the massage.
