Arrived on 3-29. We had to come a couple days earlier than we wanted because of a commitment back home. The place felt and looked half empty. In addition I had never seen as many swimming suits. The vibe was very different. It turns out Temptation was oversold so some of those folks ended up at Desire. Nice people but as I mentioned it just didn't feel the same. We can talk to anyone and had fun.
On the 30th my wife got her body painted for neon night. Local artists are there two three nights a week and do a great job. They don't have a fixed fee, you pay what you think it is worth. They were outstanding. One guest was pretty surprised when he realized those weren't panties she was wearing. Under the black lights she was awesome. If you get a chance to do it - think about it.
On the 31st there was a big change over in people. Swim suit crowd vanished, Desire people showed up, vibe returned, the world was back in balance. For sexy costumes night I took a different tack. I wore an orange Department of Corrections jump suit and had a handcuff dangling from my wrist. The Desire employees joined the gag, started making pretend radio calls about a "runner." Had security come and "interrogate me." Of course it gave me a reason to handcuff myself to females. My wife said this was your night.
I was one of two guys that were conned into the costume competition with eight women. I'm going up against a lot of hot ladies in tiny clothes, yeah this is going to end well. Even with two english ladies stripping me naked on the dance floor all I got was, sniff sniff, polite golf clap.
April first a big part of our crew arrived and the volume picked up and the vibe. Fun day. Foam party was a blast, caught up with old friends and made some new ones. Wore my Fijian Sulu, which meant a lot of hands were on my privates, like I complained. The wife was hot but her day was always going to be Saturday - hummmm.
On the second the last parts of our crew arrived. This included a tall relatively recently ordained pastor of an internet church. He was going to lead us in a 30 year anniversary vow renewal. We were in junior high when we got married.
The groom at a wedding has a lot in common with the dearly departed at a funeral. Look good in a suit and don't embarrass your self. As luck would have it this was the most humid night we were there. I have on a tux, vest, white tie and sandals. I was hot and I don't mean the looks I was receiving. Que ZZTop "Sharp Dressed man."This is now my wife's night. Our group and two new friends met in the lobby bar about 6:15. At the point the guys and guests headed to the Gazebo. Lucky no one was using it for some kind of erotic something(we had a plan B.) Our "pastors" wife had the honor of escorting my wife down the aisle. Instead of the wedding march we played, "Brown Eyed Girl, she is, the Van Morrison version." Julie looked splendid in her wedding dress. A tall lanky combination of virginal white, commando, mesh, see through and tanned skin took center stage. The lighting was just about perfect around 6:30, romantic and enticing and erotic.
Our pastor asked who gives this woman and our friend said "I and her mother do." We started our ceremony. For no more that eight to ten minutes our friend spoke. He gave us the opportunity to exchange some brief vows, which we did. Mine was pretty simple, "In front of all our friends, new and old I want to say you're my bud, my lover, my pal and my partner in crime. Free spirited enough to have this ceremony here. I'll love your forever and I will miss you when I'm gone."
Our paster finished up the ceremony, reintroduced us and closed with a classic line. Instead of saying you may kiss the bride he said, "you may share the bride!" It is Desire after all, and except for one couple we all had.
Afterwards I was hugged by a european women. In the wonderful accent they have when speaking English she said, "your words bring tears on my cheeks."
