Once we arrived, the time and horror of going through Mexico customs set in. 6 full flights all arrived at about the same time, 2:20pm. However we made it through in about 2 hours and were met by our private vehicle outside. Both times we’ve been we used Cancun Transfer, $72 USD roundtrip they get you in the car and at Desire in less than 20 minutes. You schedule your pickup car and you don’t have to call them or worry about being late. They are simply fantastic, nice, clean upscale vehicles and wonderful drivers.
We arrive and are met at the door and did the usual paper work, took all of 5 minutes. We then spoke with Renata’ and she didn’t even attempt any of the usual pressure of time share. Although it’s no longer time share but membership you’re being asked to buy. She didn’t waste our time and we were given our room. It was in the 1000 building under the hot tub, we asked her for room # last year, 2315 which was taken. She gave us 2312 which was awesome and on the way to it in less than 10 total minutes of arriving. We unpacked and put on swim suits to walk past the lobby area then off with the suits, drink in hand and lounging on a pool bed. Immediately met friends we had met last year and had a drink and pleasant conversation. Then it was on to the hot tub.
Needless to say, the hot tub was absolutely hopping. All the beds on the deck were full and various activities going on. We joined in the hot tub fun and met several friends we wound up partying with the remainder of our time there. While the hot tub was awesome everyday, our most fun time at the hot tub was Sunday afternoon. The weather had turned awful with rain and cold. But with alcohol and being naked in a hot tub, people just find ways to make it enjoyable
- Ourselves and a few other couples (from US, Canada and Mexico) were in the round end by the bar with the light and the two pulsating jets. We dubbed the area ‘VIP area’ and had a blast greeting those who wondered what the ‘commotion’ going on was. Anyone was welcome to out little ‘VIP areaâ€
