Hi,

We will be at DRM 5/26-5/31 and we're hoping that someone would be able to give us some feedback on the rooms. We are booked in a standard room but our travel agent keeps plugging the deluxe upgrade. Are the standard rooms really that small? We don't really plan on spending a lot of time in our room but we don't want to feel claustrophobic either!

Any feedback would be great...if anyone can give some rough room dimensions, that would also be helpful.

Well they are small, not tiny, but small. The pics on the website are fairly representative. We find them adequate, and they are nicely furnished. Double, not king sized bed (boo), enough space to get out either side. Adequate wardrobe, drawer space. Patio style doors open up to the gardens. Bathroom quite large. If you're not planning on any room parties, it'll be fine! This is the room we had last visit.

In general there is no difference, size wise, between standard and deluxe just the room amenities. Your guess about not spending much time in the room is right on - mostly we just use the room to change, shower and actually sleep - lol
