I remember some information regarding car hire from near Cancun Airport, some years ago, and can't find it now.
Any tips for hiring a car for a couple of weeks?
We are going walkabout, or I suppose driveabout, before going to RM.

We've used Easyway multiple times over the last 15 yrs on the Yucatan, highly recommended.
