Seriously, I leave my phone in the safe since I want to totally disconnect. Nina needs to keep hers with her since she is a type 1 diabetic and the phone is her only means of reading her glucose meter.

Well said by many of you! I think most reasonable adults understand the difference between glucose monitoring and constant scrolling through social media. We have kids as well and we make contact with them in the morning and in the afternoon. They’re a little older so it’s easier. We also monitor for emergencies. I don’t think the issue here is phones, they’re extremely useful and if someone needs to have it handy, great. Do what’s best for you! No issue there. We take lots of pictures of our dinner outfits and theme nights…on a tripod in the room. Among other uses for the tripod!

The issue is people are becoming more cavalier about taking pictures and videos. We have seen both firsthand. It comes down to self-awareness and respecting others.

Phones have appeared a lot more frequently in recent years, even in the hot tub area. It makes people uncomfortable. If you absolutely have to take photos of the resort or plants or whatever, do it at 7am when it’s daylight but no one is out and about.
