Wednesday theme night • EYES WIDE SHUT NIGHT

Pearl has changed the theme night for Wednesdays. Now it is Eyes Wide Shut Night.
When we visited original Desire for the 1st time back in December 2011 there was a special ceremony "Eyes Wide Shut" (EWS). I am sure a lot of folks know what this is about. If not - just search this in the forum (there were a lot of discussions about EWS).
For us being shy newbies and having that event on our 1st day of vacation it was quit an experience! We loved it!
Do they do the same ceremony at Pearl? Or it is just the name of the theme night?

I too am wondering the same thing as we are arriving on a Wednesday. I unfortunately aren't planning on wearing anything to risque'....just a sexy black dress. Where in the world would I get a lace mask??? I'm guessing that's what people will be wearing????

if you wear a mask, high heel shoes, have a purse (it is a must!), ear rings, and bracelet(s) - my husband says it is enough:)

Where to find a mask? Sites such as Buycostumes.com and others. Search Venetian mask.

Desire RM offered masks and robes for check-out (with a penalty if they don't get turned back in). The robes were hot to wear, though it encouraged a "barely there" approach. There were limited numbers, so it was important to get to the table early. We never had a problem borrowing, but we like being in the lobby area early for the pre-disco show. I'd assume that Pearl will offer the same accessories.

Oriental Trading Company orientaltrading.com offers masks by the dozen (look for Mardi Gras masks). I've borrowed the masks at RM in past years and loved the look, but their Venetian ones were heavy to wear for an hour--and too sweaty on my nose to maintain in the disco! These are lightweight, the variety is nice, and it's so inexpensive that it's easy to bring a bunch to share with new friends. The nice thing is that you can coordinate with your outfit (if you like the matching look).

We also are very curious to get Loulou's original question clarified: does Pearl have the same EWS ceremony there was some years ago at Deire RM?

If I would read resort's website I would not ask this question. It states clear: "sensual ceremony".

We were at RM last year the first week of July. They had EWS night, wecparticipated and both my wife and I loved it. We still fantasize about it. We are going back to RM again in July and will probably go to Pearl for visit to participate in it again
