What shape are the electrical outlets in the rooms? Will I need a plug adaptor?

Well... Where are you from?
If you are North American (Canada & U.S.) it's the same as home.

It depends where you're from, we do! 
They are standard American (as I understand) 2 prong sockets, round pins.
