What about Eli & Bea?

Eli and Bee left together suddenly one afternoon, just a few days before New Years...we actually saw them with all their luggage as we were coming back from being in town.

While it is not fair to speculate, I fear that "sudden departures" may be the result of select staff stepping over employment boundaries with visitors to Desire. I/we can hope that they were simply leaving "in a hurry" for a few weeks leave to see family or enjoy a difference environment. Related and addressed in another thread, I hope that patrons can respect the limits given staff and not tempt them with charm or money to jeopardize their employment. The employees that work at Desire are very special and most difficult to replace. The whole resort is full of other visitors that can help fulfill your fun-laced fantasies!

What about Eli & Bea?

Eli and Bee left together suddenly one afternoon, just a few days before New Years...we actually saw them with all their luggage as we were coming back from being in town.

We're so disappointed to hear that they may have moved on - we were so impressed on our last visit the way Eli came over the moment he saw us and remembered where we were from, when we had last visited, what I do for a living, etc. And he always went out of his way to make the Mrs feel like the belle of the ball, which was appreciated. The staff meet hundreds of people, it really adds a personal touch when you are specifically remembered - add that to the list of wonderful things about Desire.

We were fortunate enough to have a special conversation with Eli one day during a storm. He is a very hard working guy, as well as very religious. He is not driven by money. It's hard to imagine that he crossed the line for sex or money.

Earlier that day, Bee had mentioned that management didn't appreciate the great job the entertainment staff does....Bee seemed a bit less engaged than Eli, who was super friendly and fun! Sadly, from what we heard it was more of an immature "I'm sick of this and leaving" and I think Eli might have gotten caught up in the drama...So true that the Desire staff is special and talented and really does contribute to the experience. I will say that Marco, Charlie, Kia and Ana were total professionals after the departures and handled themselves as well as they could have - since it was only a few days before new years there was a lot of adjustments that needed to be made to the schedule, and likely they got less time off then they greatly deserved! They did not let it impact the guest's experience, which is truly commendable!

We spoke with Eli and Bee by the pool one day in late Nov. As mentioned, he is deeply spiritual person and very proud of his country. He said he was taking Bee to see some of wonderful less explored parts of the country. I'm pretty sure there was no drama as far as them leaving, just a well deserved vacation. That job must get tough, day after day of keeping up the energy and working long hours 6 days a week.

Bea and Eli were wonderful when we were there in September. I would find it hard to believe there was any issues with their professionalism. Great people and I hope they return!

Our fingers are crossed that they both return. Not sure how long Bee can work at Desire since she is from the UK and is in Mexico under a temporary work visa. I think that type of visa is only good for six months. Since Bee arrived in August her time would be up in February. When we were there in September they definitely had a thing going on between them. We wish them the best.

I think either or both of them together stopped and talked with us everyday the week we were there in late December. Both were pleasant and personable. He said they would be moving on in a few months. Something about going to the real Mexico.

We were there for the New Year and the first week of January. Currently they have Charlie, Marco, Kia and Anna as Entertainment crew.
Vince is gone to study to UK. Liz is doing Membership sales, Jessica lives in Cancun and working for some type of modeling agency.
Marco had come back after short trip back to Italy where he could not get decent job and will stay at least until June. Anna will be leaving in a few weeks going back to Colombia to work for a traveling TV show. Kia is staying so far; she was much more active and open this time around in comparing to last June when we met her first. Her English is still weak, but she is trying very hard. She did a fantastic acrobatics show for the New Year Eve party. We talked to her later and found out that she is a gymnast. She grew up in Cuba and was part of their gymnastic team for a while. She has 6-year-old daughter who lives with her mom right now....

This crew was fantastic. We were so glad that Marco is back - the pool volleyball without him is just boring....

I hope I am reading this wrong...is Marco leaving in June? We will be there 6/28-7/6 and are so looking forward to seeing him. He makes the activities so much fun, but especially volleyball!!!

Here now.... Hired Josh a couple days ago, seems like a nice guy just takes time to really fit in. So now it's Charlie, Marco, Kia, Josh. I'll ask Marco about leaving.

Kind of sounds like it may be the management, maybe the owner should look into letting them go.

Just confirmed with Marco personally he will be there when we all arrive this summer for 4th of July festivities.
