Massage Classes at Pearl

Do they offer massage classes at Pearl? We are planning our first trip to Desire and those classes are a big draw for us. After reading the posts, it seams they are offered at RM. Bring newbies, we are leaning toward Pearl but if RM is the one with the classes that changes our mind.

This is actually a difficult question to answer. The simple answer, however, is that- as far as I know- Pearl does not offer massage classes at this time. Liz used to teach a weekly tantric massage class but she is now doing membership sales. Lisa used to come in for a week at a time and do a Thai massage class but I don't know if she goes to either Desire resort these days.

While something may have recently changed Pearl is down to three entertainment staff from their usual six. I am sure that they will be adding people in the near future however.

What makes this complicated is that there is always a fairly rapid turnover of entertainment people. Many come in on six month visas and quite a few seem to come and go even faster than that. Each person has a particular skill set so you might find massage classes or, perhaps, pole dancing offered at one time and then not a few months later.

The point is that RM might offer massage classes today but not when you go on your trip while the situation at Pearl could just as easily change in the other direction. It really just depends on who the entertainment people are when you are there.

The bottom line is that while Pearl and RM are similar there are also quite a few differences. They are both amazing resorts and I am sure that you will have an great trip no matter which one you choose but... I wouldn't base a decision on the availability of massage classes.

Lisa still teaches at RM and at Pearl, both Yoga and Thai massage. She's there a few times a year for a couple/few weeks each time. This past January, she taught "sexy" Thai massage, and it was great! She'll be at RM the week of 4/25 and at Pearl the week of 5/2, but I'm not sure whether she is teaching Yoga or Thai massage. Whatever she's teaching, it's worth going. She's a great teacher.
