Are we missing out by not staying on a weekend?

Postby Briandstace » Wed Apr 20, 2016 12:38 am

Hey everybody,

We're going to be making our first trip to Pearl in June- either Monday-Friday or Wednesday-Sunday, FYI- and are super excited about it.

We will be fine enjoying the atmosphere and each other either way, but we've recently gotten into the lifestyle and are wondering if there will be significantly more action on the weekend.

Thanks for help/opinions/etc. and if you're going to be there at the same time, say "hi!"

I would have to say "yes" to your question. My reason for that is because we did NOT stay through the weekend either. Circumstances wouldn't allow for it at the time we took our trip but we could see that the resort was gaining steam as the weekend got closer.

We arrived on a Monday evening late, but early enough to get dinner, get dressed for the theme night and go to the disco and then the hot tub. It was a very quiet night in the hot tub and (we're not in the LS but were open to soft swing opportunities if they arose and the chemistry was right) as the days progressed, the hot tub got busier. Plus, the foam party is on the weekend.

We've already declared that our next trip will be a Tuesday or Wednesday through Sunday at least.

Not that we're the most experienced DP Resort folks (have been a grand total of 1x now) but if we learned anything it was to be sure to include the weekend in our next trip.

Good luck and have fun!

We got there the very week after Matt got there and we stayed Monday through Friday. Didn't seem to hinder our fun. Thursday was by far the slowest night in the hot tub our trip. The other nights were pretty action packed. You're really at the mercy of who shows up the same time you visit more than what days you visit. If you happen to be there the same time as a big group, you'll have plenty of fun.

We have been 4 times. Each time the weekend was busier with higher occupancy. Would definitely recommend, if possible, trying to include a Friday and Saturday in your stay. Is it the end of the world if you can't? No. But it is more 'active' on the weekend
Returning to RM 4/9/22 to 4/15/22. Can’t wait!

Weekends are more fun. Foam party is great on Sat afternoon but you'll have fun anytime.

To us, the mood and atmosphere seems to change every day. Couples arrive and depart every day. One day you will go to the hot tub and it will be really mellow, the next day could be off the chain. We haven't noticed a correlation with day of the week (it does get hard to keep track of what day it is once you are there). There is probably more turnover on the weekends (and higher occupancy), so if you stay through the weekend you'll meet more couples.

I wouldn't say sol. It depends on what is your idea of a good time. Every night has a theme, every night is a party and to be quite honest, I lose track of what day it is anyway. You could go there and have the resort full but not find anyone you connect with, or it could be half full and you meed a number of great couples. I've never had a bad time there.

Last time, in November, we’ve stayed just 3 days on weekend, from Saturday to Tuesday. There was an excellent ambiance; probably the best night was Monday, but it may be a personal appreciation.
Previous stay, we’ve been there for 8 nights, from Monday to Tuesday, and we absolutely agree with OzeFun: after a couple of days the calendar loses it signification, at least you are a workaholic, permanently connected to your office (not my case).
