Tipping?

We've been to several all-inclusive resorts over the past few years where tipping staff was not allowed. In fact, we were told staff could get in trouble for accepting tips. At these resorts we sometimes secretly gave tips to special staff tucked in thank you cards at the end of our stay. This will be the first time visiting an all-inclusive where tipping is allowed. So here comes some DP newbie questions:

1. Who do you tip?
2. When do you tip?
3. How much do you tip them? (Dollars or pesos?)
4. We read on here that you pay someone to reserve a bed/chair... Is this a fee or a tip?
5. You're naked, so where in the heck do you carry your tip money?

First tipping is a personal subject/decision for each of us, however there has been a lot of discussion already on that subject

I suggest as a start just put the word tipping into the forums search engine (top right of every page) and you'll find about 25+ pages of posts related to that subject

Thanks for the tip (pun intended). I found a good thread in the "General info about both Desire Resorts Properties" section of the Board under a thread named "Tipping Staff". All my tipping questions were answered there.
