Uber in Puerto Morelos

The reason I mentioned Uber was the luggage issue. If you travel like my wife, it's a 4 large bag adventure (yes, she once brought 16 pairs of shoes for 7 nights!). You're never fitting 4 large bags and 2 normal sized adults in any cab I've ever seen around PM...hence the Uber XL. If you have bags like normal folks, then yes a cab will do just fine.

I totally understand. My wife always need a good size check in luggage wherever she goes. Lots of decent clothes and face cream which you can not bring with carry on.

Obviously many people have stayed the night before their booking at Pearl, in Puerto Moreles. Has anyone requested an early check in at Desire Pearl and if so how has that gone?

We stay the first night in PM and then plan to get to Pearl between 9-10 am the next morning. The luggage stays out front with the valets until your room is ready. We have what we need in a back pack and pool bag until then.

There really is no "requesting"...just show up. When we get the pre trip "welcome home" email, I believe they ask when you think you're arriving. We tell them we'll be there by 8:30am. We've never had an issue in 9 trips...10th next week

Honestly, have no idea what they do with our bags. We always pack a go bag for the pool. We tip the porter, who we know pretty well at this point, and leave the bags. We check in, hit the gym, get breakfast, and are poolside before 11am.

Everyone has certain opinions about things at Pearl. I can't honestly recall anyone saying a bad word about the employees. They are very happy, extremely hard working people that genuinely seem happy to see you.
