Music at Pearl disco ?

We bring our own...

So do we. But we only play it in private or semi private areas. Do u actually play it at the club, pool and jacuzzi? Wouldn't it contradict with what the resort is playing? And what if most people don't like 'your' music?

We think the request system works best in the main areas of they follow it. Do they still have a sign up / request board at the pool?

Well, lemme see, usually play at the pool at RM, and in our room. The one year I didn't bring it was last year, and I was publicly ashamed by our friends there. Not gonna happen again,! Have had some great social interactions with people over the 9 years I have been bringing it and having them stump me if I have a song or not, usually starts great conversations! And then we play the TV soundtrack playlist, that's always fun to have people guess it first. Its always a big hit at the hot tub, we usually just hung around away from the speakers and honestly, only time we have ever had someone to ask us to turn it down was at a Vanilla resort in Jamaica. Lots o' honeymooners, but that was just a single occurrence by a grumpy couple! Sooo I'd say I have something for everyone, about 8 thousand songs, lots of 70's, Party, Rock, Country, Rap, Soul, EDM, Classical, Meditation, and Soundtrack stuff. I am always looking to expand, do you have a favorite song?

We were there in April when the "German Contingency" was there. That evening was by far our most enjoyable time in the disco out of four trips to Desire.

Why? What made it more enjoyable. What did the Germans have to do with it? We need details.

Sorry, I guess my post didn't make sense. The Germans had their own DJ with them and he took over for a short time in the disco one night. He had the dance floor full! The minute the Pearls DJ took over again the dance floor cleared. As for the Germans themselves they were a fun group of people.

Certainly love some 70's stuff - many memories - Eagles, Supertramp, bit of 70's disco and even some Pink Floyd if mood takes. Will certainly be bringing my collection along but may be some British stuff not so familiar.

I'm a child of the 70's and love those bands you mentioned, well not Supertramp so much..., but I have no interest in hearing them in the Pearl disco. Give me thumping beats that I can grind on my wife to please. If I hear Hotel California, ugh...

Love the British rock from the 70's. I used to live next door to Alice.

When it comes to music and dancing, I prefer to be the one playing the music since about the only way I don't embarrass myself or step on feet is to "dance" with my bass guitar.

One of my hopes for Desire is a chance to get up and play a few tunes with the house band, or even better, with other guests that play (music).

Probably it was my only disappointment was the nighttime music in the disco. Could be an age thing too. I guess, also, it's a disco! I want a variety... I can dance to techno but not all night long... I like a variety to get people on the dance floor having a great time. One type of music i.e. techno doesn't do it for me. Now, that was a few years ago so I'm not sure what it's like now. We'll see in March! Hope for a good bunch of songs (kind of like weddings where there is 60's to 90's rock, blues, techno, alternative, country, etc.)
