Jacuzzi Beds would a change be welcome

See, PowderFinger?! ... easy!! I agree with you, though, that some people are flat out rude and deserve to be pushed down a rung, shown how the functioning society works. But I'm just suggesting we give the benefit of the doubt to those generally good people who are being mildly inconsiderate (or taken by the moment and simply forget), at least while we're in the happy Pearl land ... no unnecessary drama, PLEASE!! I get irritated even with the "inconsiderate" one, b/c when my wife even sees the stuff, the thought of moving it dampers her mood, as she is such a pleaser and wants no trouble. Still ... no tossing stuff, no confrontations (drunken or otherwise).

I don't care whether people are clothed or not, if they're using the beds. What does bother me, is that they are saved with personal possessions. When we were there for 8 nights, we had the chance to use a bed once, while at a jacuzzi, because all other times, they were covered with other people's belongings. Selfish and rude.

Funny, when we travel, those things end up on a side table somehow.....

During our visit we could not find space in the afternoon due to exactly what everyone else is stating--- Reading their iPod, sleeping, etc. Since it was our first visit we were not sure what the rules were-- we even saw couples placing "reserved" signs on beds at 330 ! It was so bad we used one of the beds at 300 before everyone else arrived. My wife enjoyed putting os a show for the men getting the bar ready !!!

We did the same thing and the bartender was so appreciative He brought us a bottle of champagne and kept giving me a thumbs up. We took ever chance we had at the beds lol

I think placing "reserved" signs is tacky and not good etiquette. If you are not in the area using the beds no one should reserve the beds period. The resort should remove any signs.

We try and not take up space on the beds if we are not playing on them. We like watching and being watched on the beds.
We store our belongings in the cubbyholes or we just don't bring anything with us to the jacuzzi.

I think it all comes down to good manners and respect the fact the beds are there for all to use.
If you leave the bed take or move your belongings to a cubbyhole so the bed is freed up for others to use.

IT NEVER HURST TO ASK...you might be surprised at who is willing to at the least share some space on the beds.
If anyone sees us on a bed and you are looking for a place to play by all means ask if we will share the bed. They are large enough in our opinion. 4 people is better then 2!

My husband says we should post signs on the Jacuzzi beds that say "Ride Share". We can accommodate more and save the environment (the Desire environment). We are arriving June 29th and plan to bring a sign for our bed.

We just got back from 8 nights last night. A HUGE pet peeve of mine was people NOT removing their used towels! Come on people have some class. Early one afternoon my husband and I used a bed for some "afternoon delight". Afterwards, we did fall asleep for a short time. I was happy to see when we woke up that there were other available beds and we weren't being selfish

You don't need to worry GR. We have been to Desire when you're there, and you are some of the most considerate people we've ever met.
Nobody minds if you're using the beds. Now snoring... that's another thing altogether. lol We typically have a cool down period after a lengthy round. Sometimes, if we're lucky, we even get a second round!! It's when these couples get up, go socialize, go to the Jacuzzi bar to hang out, go back to their rooms, go get a bite to eat, etc. and don't have the courtesy to remove their belongings and clear off their spent towels that gripes us. Perhaps we could auction off abandoned belonging to the highest bidder (that is if they have any worthwhile toys or goodies in the bags). Aside from that, I say their stuff goes off the bed and on the deck. XL
