Well I do still recognize a few DP friends

Love it!!!

I don't mind the fish swimming by when we are having drinks in the hot tub, but not the urchin and the jelly fish.

Before Original Resorts took over what is now Desire Pearl and converted it to Desire Pearl in 2013, it was a high end, family resort called Ceiba del Mar. What is now Pearl's hottub used to be the kiddie pool! The conversion to a hottub involved constructing the platforms within the tub and of course adding the swim-up bar. What is now the nightclub/disco used to be a function room. The restaurants were completely renovated. I don't think they did much with the rooms which is why they are a bit dated. The larger rooms (the upper floor suites) were designed for families.

Sometimes early on I feel a bit like an urchin. If I stay too long I feel more like a jelly fish. Just sayin
