I'm sure there are plenty of people here that would love to hear from people there during this opening week and what the guest experience is like. What's changed, what's the same, what the attitude is like, etc...

If anyone could share their thoughts, that would be great.

The staff has been super attentive all discussing how excited they are to be back after 90 days. Only one resturant open for dinner, and they said 16 rooms occupied with anther 15 coming between now and the weekend.

Seems to be. All we spoke with said they’ve been waiting 90 days to return to work.

I'm assuming Aphrodite. Are people still dressing up for dinner like they do for Pearl, or is it more casual since it's Aphrodite?

Did they say when the other restaurants will open? If they're going to have 30 rooms by the end of the weekend, that's a lot for one restaurant...

At dinner last night no reservations required for that one by the lobby. Maybe four tables when we ate at 7. The buffet one is open for breakfast and lunch. Cool to order not buffet though.

Japanese closed. Can ask regarding timeframes. At pool today. Probably 10-12 couples. Max. .

Picked up this afternoon. About 25-30 people in pool. Same restrictions with dining options. Very mellow vibe for the most part. RelXing for sure.

Greetings and thanks for the recent Pearl updates/comments,

Just wondering about the safety/COVID response aspects of the re-opening at Pearl?

We assume employees have faces covered, for example. Are any guests wearing them as well?

Thanks for these and any Pearl updates; inquiring minds want to know!

P.S. Glad to know most the staff has returned!

Regarding sanitation.

It’s been very constant and very much in your face (not intrusive but you can’t be here and not know they are making a big effort)

All the staff is in a mask. No matter what they are doing. Serving drinks? In a mask. Putting or setting up towels? In a mask. Doing volley ball in the pool? In a mask. Dancing at the evening show? Yep, in a mask.

As guests you are asked to use touchless hand sanitizer dispenser be for entering any building. You must also step into a solution with your shoes and then dry off (cleans bottoms). You are not allowed to take any food from buffet line. You tell the gloved and masked staff member what you would like and they pick it for you with utensils.

When walking around this week we have constantly noticed the staff in and out of rooms spraying, wiping, and scrubbing with sanitizing solution on every surface from door knobs to hand railings to glass doors and windows to floors and walls. In and out of balconies as well.

Upon arrival your bags are sprayed with sanitizer then your temperature is taken then you fill out a health form asking about symptoms and exposure. Same deal with the spa.

Overall the staff and the resort appear grateful to be back while also being aware that they have to create to safe and sanitized environment to remain open. They are making it a priority.

We have been here since July 1. Quick summary: food is fantastic; staff is wonderful; sanitation and preventative measures are on par (if not better) with what’s being done in our local US restaurants; occupancy is noticeably lighter. TBH, we’re having just as good of a time as we normally do, down here.
