How full?

With everything going on, how full has Pearl been lately? We are considering going while we have the chance as this winter is looking very unlikely for us. For anyone who’s been, how is the experience now compared to a “normal” trip? This would be either #7 or #8 for us.

The Governor of Quintana Roo, just updated their phases for Aug 3-9. Both N and S portions of the state remain the same, South is Red and the North is Orange. Puerto Morales is in the North section. Which means the max allowed occupancy is still 30% of the resorts total capacity.

I’m not trying to get anyone into trouble. But I assure you they were at more than 30% capacity for part of our trip.
Pearl has 88 rooms. So 30% capacity is 26 couples. NCVETTE said above there were 20-25 couples on Saturday. That was probably right (and doesn’t count those not at the pool). But the thing is that many couples had left that day. There were definitely more than that on Wed-Friday of last week. I would guess closer to 50 couples.
The bottom line really isn’t the %. It’s, “is it enough to feel full and have fun?” The answer is yes. You will notice it a bit in the pool but you won’t really notice it much elsewhere.
They did the foam party on Thursday the week we were there (likely because they knew so many were leaving on Sat) and it felt very full for that.

Were there any people there on day passes? Would that have pushed up the number?

Came back from Pearl yesterday. Saturday foam party and party at night felt like they were happening and "full". A lot of people left on Sunday though so Sunday night was really dead. Also did not help that hot tub jets were not working.

It will appear that for now weekends are substantially busier than weekdays until travel picks up and resort get closer to full occupancy.
