What is capacity limit due to Covid 19?

Does anyone know what the current status is for guest capacity due to Covid 19? I know it is likely to change as more people get vaccinated. We are hoping to book a trip for August and don't want to be looking at an empty pool and no playmates. 8)

I don’t know their actual limit, but it did not feel empty by any means a couple of weeks ago.

We were there the day after opening July 2, and in October and December. Occupancy is about 80% on the weekends (they said sold out) and of course down during the middle of the week. We had a wonderful time each time and December felt like a normal week at Pearl. We have been there around 10x so have a good idea what felt “back to normal”.

The state of Quintana Roo is still yellow. 65% is the max, however I have been told that Desire and other hotels can exceed then 65% on weekends as long as the average for a week is 65% or less. Who knows what the govt rqmts will be in Aug. Been 4 times since they opened back up and always have a great time and plenty of fun. Good luck

Let's be sincere. When the hotels were authorized to reopen on June 8, a maximum occupancy of 30% was set (40% in boutique type), with intervals of 4 days to be able to reoccupy the same room. Now the authorization is 65% occupancy. However, the state government does not have sufficient capacity to verify that these limits are being respected.
On the other hand, with the terrible economic downturn (and extremely serious unemployment) that have come with COVID-19, especially in a state that depends 95% on tourism, the government itself "looks the other way" on the condition that the hoteliers and other service providers can operate with black numbers and employment and other activities are reactivated. They are understood values.
I believe that the hoteliers of Quintana Roo (some of them are my clients) have been very responsible in the face of the pandemic and very supportive of their collaborators. They have invested millions in implementing hygiene measures that minimize risks, but they cannot be sustained with low occupations all year round.

Thanks for the input. My wife just got the first vaccine, she is a nurse. I think I will be in the next stage. I hope to be able to book a trip soon. We miss Pearl!

Thanks.
