The storm late in the season last year really tore the pier up and the beach was badly eroded (far worse than normal).

I was told the pier is set to be repaired before the end of 2021, so I'm assuming access to it is completely closed? Can anyone confirm?

More importantly, is the beach back to "normal" (which wasn't great in the first place)? We like to spend the mornings down there on a beach bed and we're curious the condition it's in.

The pier looked like a total loss to me, we were told at the sales meeting that they haven't decided if they are going to repair or remove.
The beach wasn't bad everything seems to be lower then normal guessing erosion but seaweed wasn't to bad, we spent several afternoons out there and it was nice.

People walk on it still (staff). At least they have in our three trips this year. Will look at it again next week.

Workers started repairing the pier on Monday.

Oh, that's great! Wonder how long it will take. We'll be there in a week, for a week.

Based on some social media pics I have seen, it probably will still be under construction when you are there.

I wonder how the crews working deal with the nudity on the beach. We were there during the Suki construction and there were a number of times where workers were just clearly staring at the people. Once a guy seemed to be taking a pic with his phone. Someone complained to management and they were told he was fired the next day.

That seems to be a pretty good way of dealing with it.

As of last week, pier is gone and beach is slammed with seaweed. There is a new turtle nest next to the bar where she came up and laid eggs on Monday night!

Just returned from Pearl. It looked as though they were beginning work on a new pier. They brought in a pile driver and a bunch of pilings. The workers seemed to keep to there job and we did not have a problem. Noise from the construction will be a nuisance.
