Help! Desire billing question

Hi all,

I just received the email to pay my final balance for our Desire Pearl reservation for next month. The total it says I owe is about $800 more than what it said my balance would be on my original reservation down payment/confirmation (or what I was expecting). It looks like I can change the amount but I don't want to correct it and then lose my reservation because it's not what was presented? Before I call, I was wondering if anyone has any insights.

Thank you! (Sorry this isn't a very sexy question....)

Maybe the amount due includes taxes, fees, etc? I think the original website room rates are exclusive of those - not 100% certain.

Posted rates on the public site don’t initially include the 19% tax.
However sounds like the $800 USD is more than what showed on your original booking confirmation email received. A direct call to them would be best. Have all your info handy in advance so you are confident in your discussion with and simply ask them to explain the increased cost difference. They’ll kindly provide you all details and if it’s a mistake they’ll fix it.

The same thing happened to us. We booked online paid the deposit, printed everything out for our records. When we called to pay the balance, check flights, transfers, we were told the balance was about $800 more than our printed records. We looked back at our credit card statement and they did not charge the entire deposit. I think they only charged the airfare, insurance fee. We called back paid the amount they said which matched out printed out paperwork.
Long story short see what they charged you CC I think the same thing is happening to you
