We were at pearl July 2020 a week after pearl opened back up. Breakfast was not a buffet but served from the buffet area. Is the self serve buffet back?

Yes it is, or at least the case 7/5-7/12.

Self serve returned in March I think.

Self serve was there mostly in May. One day we saw what looked like inspectors wandering the property and the buffet then had a rope up and we were served by staff. Not our favorite.
