Hello everyone,

I tried a quick search, but wasn't able to find what I was looking for. My wife and I are planning our third trip to Pearl. We have gone in the months of May (amazing) and November (pretty good), but this time we might be looking at August. For the veterans, can we expect August to be a good/typical month at Pearl? We are aware that it "depends on the crowd", but we have also heard that August is a "slower" month. We take that with a grain of salt and are hoping to hear about your trips in the month of August. Thanks in advance!

The absolute best month to go is....... whatever month you attend!

EVERY MONTH! The last week of Dec might be slow....We go in August a lot as it is a birthday month...

We did every month in 2021. 13 trips.

We are 3-3 in 2022 so far. Will break the streak next month and in October.

Each month is different and has pluses and minuses. It really depends on what your are looking for.

Thanks all. We would agree that any month is a great month to visit Desire. Just wanted to make sure August will still provide a fairly full resort. We love making new friends

Stop right there. Simply take a look at the booking calendar. Go ahead and TRY to book a weekend in the next month.

Both resorts sell out WELL in advance. There may be SOME availability (on a weeknight), but if you're concerned about not having a full house, you have nothing to worry about.

I would only go from now on when the seaweed smell is gone.

August is sexy, young, and wild month. Supposed to be able to do more things in public areas, like the pool. The year we were there, we didn’t notice much difference from other months. It is hot in August. That being said your have the pool and the gulf winds to cool down. The nights are comfortable. Any month at Desire is a great time.

This is our first trip to Pearl; however, we have had 5 prior trips to DRM. We had a great time with each trip, but have come to enjoy the weekend following Labor Day. Usually arriving either on Thursday or Friday after Labor Day. We have found the weather to be a little more breezy, which makes the days not quite as hot, and the bonus with the breeze (at least at DRM) is much few, if any bugs. With that in mind, we scheduled our trip from 9/9-914 this year.
