Someone has posted that Charlie announced last week that he is retiring. The post didn’t say if it was immediate, or when it would take effect, or what it does or doesn’t mean for Kia.

Does anyone else have any info? We’ll be there in a month, we’d sure love to see him (them?) one more time.


Either way, congratulations to him. It’s not an easy job to spend 6 days a week entertaining during the day then coming back for dinner and the disco.

He/they will be missed, saw them last month and they were great as usual. We were actually at the resort on Kia's first day on staff years ago...they are a wonderful couple!!

Good for Charlie, certainly well deserved!!

The post I saw indicates that Kia will be staying.

He retired 4/15.

Has been planned for many months.

We are here. Kia said he’s enjoying being retired and she is staying.

First it was Charlie and Marco.. then Marco was gone.. now Charlie is gone..

Mrs KipsCougar is still in mourning over Marco’s departure.
She finds alternate entertainment.
Charlie will be missed … no doubt.

So who is in charge of playmakers now with Charlie gone?

Shirley. She came back from RM (or was it Temptation?). We returned from Pearl recently and think she is doing a great job. The Playmakers seemed a little more "at ease," so maybe she uses a softer whip than Charlie did!
