Fireball - bring our own?

We'd like to enhance our trip with a bottle of fireball.
I've read elsewhere that some people pick up a bottle on the drive from the airport. We're using USA Transfers - where's a good place to stop? How do you usually tip the driver for the extra excursion?

When you get to Pearl, how do you let the bartenders know at which bar the bottle should be located during the day/evening?

I read a few comments hinting that Pearl will sell you a bottle directly for your own use - did I misread this? Even if it's a little more expensive I think it would be worth the reduced hassle. Any info on this would be appreciated.

FYI, we have friends that bring their own soft sided "bladders" of Fireball. Fits easily in your suitcase so you won't have to worry about stopping or over pay at the resort.

We buy Tenesse Fire (like Fireball but the base whiskey is JacK) at Duty Free. We leave it at the jacuzzi bar the first night we are there. The bartenders mark the bottle(s). Just remember to tip them

It is better to bring it with you as there seems to be a shortage in Mexico. We have looked everywhere and could not find any including at the resort where they used to sell it with a very large margin. They will put your room number on it and keep it for you and all your friends you will want to share with as sharing is caring!!!

We got one in the summer of 2021 and I think it was like $85ish and I honestly don't think it was a full 750ml. They do sell the 750ml bottles in plastic that would be easy and lighter to transport.

Believe you can buy it right in Cancun. If not you can just pack a bottle in your suitcase.

Fireball at the resort is >$50/bottle.

The mark up on anything sold at the resort, including wine & liquor is extremely high. A 6oz bottle of "spray" sunscreen was 860 pesos, yes $43. Off spray was 400 pesos.

Your driver will stop at GoMart, just ask - its on the way - and they have a big selection of liquor, beer, sundries, and snacks. They take credit cards, no need for cash. If you are arriving early morning, liquor can not be sold before 9am in the Cancun area.

Fireball 750's and 1.75's can be bought in plastic (PET) containers to reduce the weight and possibility of breakage. Just have the wife skip the 7th pair of heels!
